Can't see why people wouldn't want him. It seems so petty to not want him just because he's a City player. It's not even like our players hate their players and vice versa, they're all regularly out for drinks together; Bobby Reid & Ellis Harrison were best mates, Taylor is still mates with a lot of our players, Lines got congratulatory posts from a lot of City players when he got released. He could set in well, he's desperately the player we need, and the "I don't want to be developing players for City." argument is stupid to me, so? We're willing to develop players for Chelsea, Swansea, Barnsley, QPR, Stoke, Sheffield United, Arsenal etc but not for City even if it's a good player? Also, if god forbids City do get promoted this season (unlikely imo but possible), why would they want a League 1 player? Surely it would mean if he was good for us we could buy him on a permanent? I know that's not like us at the moment but that doesn't seem too unrealistic a scenario. He's a very good player and someone we'd all have in a heartbeat, so I'm not too sure why people wouldn't take him just because he's a City player (not even like he's a City fan or a City youth, only been there a season, and we're all fine with having Little).

This is just a guess but what if it is the Snake? Or not a U23s player, as they can just play for U23s despite not being under 23. Something I considered too, but didn't play or feature in the squad in the game Coughlan watched

Strange rumour that one when I know for a fact that Simon suffered from severe arthritis from a young age and was not allowed to drink alcohol because of his medication.another urban myth about him drinking when he only ever drank non alcoholic drinks
Not true as I drank with him numerous times at Chasers and saw him in plenty of other locations in Bristol Centre off his head.
Firstly it wasn't the alcohol but the medication and secondly you should be ashamed of yourself for encouraginn him to drink alcohol against doctors ordes.Thats nothing to be proud of

There is another side to this, if we got a couple of their players on loan, we got promoted signed them on a permanent contract played the s**t next season and one of them scored the winning goal for us at Trashton, then how would you feel about having a couple of ex s**t players in our team?.

Surely if he helps us stay up or push on it’s a no brainier get him in. I would be more watered off if I was a city fan loaning are players out to help our rivals out because it ain’t gonna benefit them much isit?

I would be very very disappointed to see a bristol city player in a Bristol Rovers shirt, no thank you. What, like Jason Roberts ?

Do they have a special bell around their neck to show they are on medication then Padstow?
Secondly, he was a grown man.

Bringing a C**y player on board and helping them to develop their game, whilst blocking the progress of one of our own lads is pretty much as absurd as it gets. Dont agree, we’ve obviously got no players in the 23’s, who will get anywhere near our first team. If a players good enough to step straight into our team, I couldn’t care less, where he’s from.

Accept C*ty loan youngsters into our ranks & you have absolutely no case, when bemoaning the gulf between the two Bristol clubs.

Unless you're blind there is a gulf at the moment in footballing terms, so let's not delude ourselves. The only way we close that is a stadium and getting to the championship, so I will take better players from anywhere to achieve that. At the moment the only thing we win is we have better fans, who will be true, what ever is thrown at us, but when I see some of the comments on here I do worry.

To my mind whether they are on medication or not anyone who encourages yound impressionable footballers to drink either in moderation or to excess is culpable if that players career goes down the pan.but if your conscience is clear and you can look at yourself in the mirror every morning and regretnothing then ginr

"I know there has been interest in our young players from Bristol Rovers - I don't know what the historic feeling about that would be.
"But our port of call would always be to do the right thing by the player. I'm not sure how that would be received at any of the other local clubs.
"But generally we've got good relationships with our local clubs, bar one."

Only 1 person to blame for Simon Bryants career going down the pan

Still a no from me.
I find some of the comments justifying having a city player here on loan very surprising.

I thought there was a gentleman's agreement between the two clubs not to do business with eachother again after Snakegake? It's not whether or not we want him.
As Jomo has already stated. After the snake business it was said there would be no more deals between the clubs.

NEVER want a city player on loan , just helps that lot improve their youth set up and make the gulf between us even bigger. Don’t care about any if , buts or maybes, it’s a big fat NO from me and always will be.

If it improves us, I don't care where they come from. It's just a matter of fact that City and Cardiff have some talented youngsters and we could do a lot worse than to sign them. Absolutely no complaints from me.
