I bet GC would love to mix it up and give key players a rest but he doesn’t have many options! You could rest the goalie. Rest one central defender. You could play with Benno and Rodman and then which 2 in the middle? Could play Victor and goal machine up top? We need to pray our full backs or central defenders don’t get injured cause we have very little in reserve! If ANY of the dev squad players are chomping at the bit give a couple of them a go. Why not? I doubt many clubs at our level have reserve FB's as good as Little & Kelly! As far as playing DS players if Brighton turn up with a reserve side then we have a very good chance of progressing and then making some money. Just look at what Lincoln have achieved purely on the back of cup runs.

Whatever changes, and I hope it’s only 1/2, I hope we really go for the win. It would give the whole club a boost. I know it’s not as important as the league game on Saturday but we’re not going up and it will be a struggle to be near the playoffs but a cup run and a few giantkillings would be great for the club and our profile. Times have changed I know but nobody said back in the days of 1970s when we were quarterfinalists in the League Cup “let’s be careful we have a league match on Saturday.” We went for the win so let’s hope we do it tonight as well. It’s always a long drive back for me and having a win makes it much better! UTG!

Actually baggins, a good cup run, confidence boosted, money added to the coffers, players playing better who knows where it could lead. Perhaps I’m just getting too excited about a cup match. I’d almost forgotten what it was like to win one! 😉 UTG!

Which feels strange to say as it is a top flight club but hey ho.

We seem to be very thread bare when you factor in a few more injuries but I guess it’s the same for most clubs in LG 1 Trust me I’d love us to have a cup run. But I truely hope we retain our league status more. A bit like Brighton! So why not try a few fringe players and say to them go grab yourself some attention?
