Just thinking of some ideas to raise some additional funds for the FFSC and thought i could organise a Mouse Racing night at The mem (If they will let us hire a Function Room)
Just guaging interest to see if people would attend ?

Good idea mate and I'm sure it would be popular. Not sure what the availability of function rooms at the club is though.... I've tried previously to hire rooms outside of the club for buffets etc but on match days they seem a bit disinterested and offered table bookings for set menus which wasn't really what I was looking for.... I was thinking about doing something at Christmas and found that horfield church hire their hall out, it costs about £17per hour www.horfieldparishchurch.org.uk/hiring-our-church-hall

You haven't even questioned the fact that we'd have to do our own catering.... When the young ones and dads army colide....

Ive had a very positive response from the club who are offering a discounted rate for function room hire and can have the bar open and offered to open Irenes kitchen if required. Possibly could consider a Friday evening ? and make it a Family event as well ?
They have also offered to assist with marketing via social media etc
Just waiting for package prices from the "Mouse racing people" then will look at ticket prices and get an idea of what revenues we could raise Watch this space

I am attending a "WINE" and cheese event this evening; likely I will attempt to consume my body weight in red wine (it is free) so certainly up for some of this type of entertainment if it is cost effective

As we no longer have a fixture on 5 October, (Bury), why don't the club switch the Gas Girls game on the Sunday (their first home game as the new Gas Girls), so fans can get their football fix. Should get a decent crowd and the club could do Sunday roasts in hospitality, if there is demand (pre booked only).
No entrance fee so there could be a one off Gas girls 50/50 to raise funds.
The mouse race could be held on the bar afterwards?

Monday to Thursday would be my preferred choice due to work commitments. But obviously the majority are what matters.
