If I remember bodin at home had a run of 14 goals in 14 starts.. the rest is history
JCH is on 19 starts at 15 goals and At home 9 starts and 10 goals

Inevitably we will lose JCH at some point, I think it’s there for all to see that in this form he is definitely championship standard. I just hope that this time we have him on a contract that when he does move on, most likely this summer, we get his true value unlike losing Bodin at what was probably less than a quarter of what you would expect for a player of that quality. We really found a gem in JCH and I for one will enjoy watching him while he is a BRFC player just like I did with other great strikers of my time watching the gas

Could have done without that yesterday I sideways. No doubt a lot of championship teams were watching closely yesterday with there being no games. Only hope is if there is a bidding war as he will inevitably leave in the near future. Make sure we put a sell on clause in there too.

Adds to my negative mindset about rovers atm - great player and we know he won’t here long! What’s the point! Getting Dam building!

I am pretty sure Mark Robins said that he let him go as it was a life changing contract but I could be thinking of a different Coventry player

Make no bones about it, if JCH was playing for Peterborough right now in this form, he would be going for at least £5m in January.
With us, he will move in January for an undisc fee (£250k).

“We” didn’t sign him - GC did. It sounded at the time as though it was quite a personal signing with something about making it to the Championship together being mentioned going back to Southend days? I know sentiment counts for little these days, especially in football, but maybe (just maybe) JCH will give GC an extra season (i.e. 20-21) to try and make progress to that aim?
This is based on the assumptions that he is on at least a 2 year (hopefully 3year) contract and that the bond/friendship/whatever is stronger than that with the inevitable agent involved. (There’s something about JCH and the heart he puts into his game that gives me hope he will be here until at least the end of this season). Fingers crossed. UTG!

Wasn't his contract with us described by the Cov manager "setting him up for life". If he's on a great deal perhaps that might put other clubs off?

I loved Jason but his finishing ability was scrappy and most of his goals bubbled in and were not that of a natural finsher. While JCH scores all type of goals. Both had great attitudes and work hard, and from what Ive seen of JCH he is not as fast as Roberts as Jason was deadly away from home with his goals under Olly, but he was playing with Jamie cureton and the Duke also. I looked at JCH saturday and thought to myself that he is a championship player right now playing for us today. And he has everything to be a premiership player for a mid table side in a few years once he adds abit more to his game. GC found a gem in him.

It will take a full season of scoring goals for him to get to the level of Roberts, Cureton, Agogo, Hayles ect. Definitely very capable of achieving that and being sold on for a good profit though.

I think some of the potential transfer fees being bandied around here are ludicrous. He's been great, but totally unproven in his career until halfway through last season. That is not what makes up a track record, and if he does leave us in January, it won't be for anything like the amounts people are suggesting he's worth.

I think no one is going to offer anything more than £500k at best right now.But if he stays here and continutes like he is for the rest of this season, and into next then we could get £1million - £2 million for him.

Rovers shouldn't but no doubt when the time comes will let JCH leave cheaply. Any other club, with the form he is in would get million minimum, could get a couple million imo.

Indeed, if we could get £2M for Hayles in 1998, there is no reason I could fathom that we couldn't get the same for JCH in this insane transfer market today.
