Bloody hell stop moaning you lot! Just expressing ourselves. More seem fed up than pleased. Hopefully someone somewhere will read it and realize they are pising off family fans when they keep adding even more night games. Going to games with my lad is highlight for me, and if I can no longer do that I'll stop going. Getting home at 11pm is just too late for us. You take a few evening games into account when you buy a ST but when the club force even more on us then the value of buying a ST really decreases.

I don't do Christmas shopping until about 10pm on Christmas eve....
it's usually a bottle of wine for my sister, and a pack of fags for mum....

Hugo - you are spot on! TV has already ruined football at our level. Look at the league tables and the job of Sky TV is almost complete! The Premier League and Championship are full of "big" clubs. If they could squeeze City, Sheff Utd & PNE in to the Championship, they could shut the door on the rest of football!
There will come a day when lower league football fans stop paying £60 per month to Sky/ Virgin/ BT and instead move those funds to their own football clubs!!! If not, will the last one out turn off the lights!
Don't mind a Friday night match, but when it affects someone who can't go with their lad, then it is wrong! That's what going to football should be all about. Sadly not anymore!

I have been told how much we get paid if on TV, but not sure I can remember. It's either £5k or it's £5k shared with the away team I.e. £3k-£2k. Can you please reply to the questions in the other thread regarding your Belanta story please. Cheers

For me (and I've worked in retail and the nightclub industry for 15+ years) any game not on a saturday afternoon is sooooo much easier. I can't take advantage of 'kids deals' (as I never want any). Why is it what football is all about?

Thought markash was suggesting we let it lie earlier, but I'm still keen to know what's going down. C'mon . . .

How come whenever we get a decent cup draw everybody gets excited about it being shown live on TV, but now BT have picked us for a live game everybody is moaning?
Whilst it's a bit of a pain at least we won't miss the game as it's live on TV, although why BT pick Black Friday for a live game is odd, unless they think fans will watch it in the pubs?

Excitement of proper cup run and decent bbc coverage (and cash) vs a bt conference regular. Surely you can see the difference?

I don't have BT sport and I can now no longer go to the game and nor can my son despite having already paid for it so I will miss it altogether.

Mainly what is the implied connection between McCrory and the signing of Balanta?

Good news for us exiled Gas as well, we can watch them in Spainland ! I was thinking the same. Great news for me. Sorry Hugo. The Mariners had some midweek games in the Asian Champions League. My young bloke missed them for the first couple of years. He's 10 (he was nine at the time) now so convinced the missus he was old enough for a late midweek game. Then they changed the KO time. Then we won with two stunning goals, which meant we got into the next stage. So then the players came around and thanked the fans. Got home just after 11 on a school night. Missus was not impressed. Can't you take your young one anyway Hugo. It is Saturday the next day. My Mum used to take me to all the League cup games in the early 70's at Eastville when I was in junior school. Thanks Mum

Should be able to catch a live feed as it's being televised. whoop whoop.

I'm just grumpy about it because we could have another whole month, like the one we are in now, without a Saturday home game. Night games are fine, I just don't like them being pinched from Saturdays. Ho hum.

Swings & roundabouts It's not really swings and roundabouts though because football is played on Saturdays. You always knew that you would always miss out because of work so you could make your decision to buy STs based on your ability to get to games. When you buy a ST for something that predominantly takes place on a saturday and the club makes a decision to take that away then its a different thing. I can miss about 10 games a season and just about break even on pay on the day prices. Some Tuesday games take care of 4 or 5 of those. I may miss the odd one because of sickness or work. Now the club are taking games away from me too and so before you know it, my season ticket ends up being more expensive than paying on the day! Glad that you can get to go though.

But is it actually the club who've changed it? They can't legally show a 3pm KO in the UK. Maybe Saturday early or late KO but then who the hell is going to watch that apart from supporters of the teams themselves?
