He gave up a chance to join GB's Rio 2016 Paralympic medical team, he may have regretted that and wants to make up for that next year.

Well, and I’m sure most will disagree, if we are losing as much money as we are rumoured to be doing, I’m glad that we seem to be doing something about it. Had we been Bury we would probably have hired more staff and stuck our heads in the sand. Thanks to him and good luck to him. UTG! Doesn’t it say he is leaving for personal reasons, so not the clubs choice? No, I get that, but we don’t know if he will be replaced or there will be a re-shuffle amongst existing staff. UTG!

Doesn't really make sense though, the whole point of the medical services department is to save the club money. Every week an asset which is costing money is out injured costs the club, by reducing recovery times that team could save loads of cash. Management Accounting is dead fun guys. Yes you’re right but if you’re losing money then you need to cut your cloth accordingly. You clearly need to have medical staff to keep players fit but the number of those staff need to be inline with your ability to afford them. The guys been there for a few years and we don’t know if he will /will not be replaced. If he is not replaced there will be a “restructuring” I presume. UTG!

Depends on what those savings are though? Is this guy a GP type of guy or just another position filling 'manager of X' type? Maybe it'd be better if we didn't fill the role? Either way, with long term injuries like THD it doesn't seem like a Medical Services would get much use? Having said that, I don't profess any knowledge in the medical & physio dynamic at a football club!
