Good time for us to see how we’ll fare without him after the January window. Sadly think it’ll be a massive blow. all your posts are full of cheer - how do you do it !? For me, it's drink.

Um,no we won't be saying that. If they score 10 goals between them in the rest of their combined careers, I'll be really surprised. Why write off Adeboyejo who hasn't had a proper chance to get a run of games yet and whose looked promising in the brief time that he has got? It annoys me how quick we are to dismiss young loanees at this club at times, just look at Jakubiak who's doing well at Gillingham. I was mainly just trying to be realistic. They won't get 10 goals between them in 5 weeks; neither has looked that sharp in front of goal, and I see both of them more as providers than out and out goal scorers.

No problems. 3 x 25-yard screamers from Sercs, Ed Upson and Rodders. Job done.

Who needs him when we have the goalscoring talents of Nichols and Adebeyejo...
Hurry back JCH!

Just our luck this season he gets injured as the article is published! Perhaps Coughlan has been flogging him a bit too much in training regarding that Guardian article.

I know we have conditioning coaches, fitness coaches, medical staff etc etc, but I do wonder if players do warms ups and stretches properly. After some injuries I experienced I was always told to warm up gently, stretch and then build up the intensity of the training session or activity before warming down and stretching out again. I was also told never to 'bounce' stretches yet I often see players doing that and some of the 'stretches' they do during warms ups are imho of very poor technique.
I used to do a lot of running in my youth and early twenties - pretty reasonable club standard (10miles in 55 mins) and I pulled/strained my calf at one time. It took some pretty deep massage (I never realised how far a sports physio can get their thumbs into a muscle group) but it cured the problem of deep scar tissue in the muscle - maybe this is what JCH needs to get the muscles working and moving again properly as it seems to me he has had an issue ever since arriving. My calf problem occurred nearly 40 years ago now and I'm sure treatments have moved on, but I'll always remember that physio session - it did hurt at the time, but cured the problem for good.

Interesting he seems to be in his full kit for the Player of the month awards and at the training ground plus he makes no mention of his injury, perhaps he's just resting it tomorrow and won't be missing for the full 5 weeks.

Theories are changing all the time. A lot of people now believe that dynamic stretches are more beneficial than static stretching. As it's closer to the movements, you will be performing once at full speed. Pulled muscles through not warming up properly are generally near the start of an activity. You can pull a muscle at any time though.

I thought the same when seeing the clip but perhaps he was just doing light gym work and physio? I reckon he’ll be back a lot earlier than the initial five weeks mentioned.
