Mets sat down with Rovers centre back Tom Davies for a chat about his career leading up to the Gas and his time at Rovers so far. From the Manchester United academy through semi-pro football at FC United Of Manchester and University Tom got his first taste of professional football at Accrington Stanley. That season ended up in disappointment as he was in the Accrington team that lost out on automatic promotion on the last day due to a 90+2 minute winner from a certain Lee Brown.... Via Portsmouth and Coventry Tom has cemented a solid partnership with Tony Craig and Alfie Kilgour in a back three at Rovers. They talk about his superstitions, a player who covers their entire bottom half of their body in vaseline and a short lived career at McDonalds. listen.gascastpodcast.co.uk/276671/1888411-a-chat-with-tom-davies

Good stuff, Mets.. some really interesting things in there. Especially his Friday night chicken, chorizo and pasta dish. Can you see if he will share a picture of the serving suggestion? I might give it a go myself... Did he mention that the Sunderland game was on an International weekend? Is that home or away - if away then there could be a few disappointed Gasheads having a weekend in Newcastle.....

I don't think that many Gasheads will be disappointed with a free weekend on the water in Newcastle!
