I think TN's world is slowly falling apart around him. It may not have been the crowd that broke him, but his fellow players and coaching staff at half time. If you don't hold onto the ball, expect to be roasted by those who have won it and passed it to you. Defenders especially, will remind higher paid strikers of this at every opportunity. The dressing room can be a daunting place when people start finger pointing. Who knows, maybe GC had said "you've got 15 mins this half to show me you can hold onto the ball....." He then sees his number on that board. The only bit of advice I could give TN, is "what doesn't kill you, just makes you stronger" Forgive my bluntness but that stupid saying is utter bollocks. , same a the leopard not changing its spots Sorry KP but that is just an opinion of yours which I respect, but in my case it has been perfectly true.

It’s perfectly fine to disagree. I could go into a diatribe on my reasons but I really don’t feel up to it so will just continue browsing

If either had been offered the opportunity of a penalty or an open goal I’m sure they wouldn’t have missed lol Pretty confident of that in fact Well Smith missed a sitter for one. Smith is unlikely to spend the next 3 years here on a good salary

Some of the comments on the match day thread are OTT. I think we can all agree Nicho has had more than a fair crack of the whip, he just isn't cutting the mustard, and it's time for GC to move him on or just bench him until his contract runs down What no-one can do however, is question his work ethic, and for that reason alone, he doesn't deserve the extreme hate going on. Agree. he gives his all but better off as a midfielder as he lacks pace and being able to hit target. Needs to control, shield and hold the ball. The only time he managed to shield the ball, we got a penalty vs Lincoln. Like most of our players 2nd touch is rubbish and lost the ball with 3rd Touch Bar JCH Leahy Hare. He needs a break maybe coming on as sub for next few games.

2-0 down at home with a striker on the bench and GC brings on two midfielders. If TN doesn’t take that hint that his time is up at Rovers he never will

Do you really think he doesn't already realise that?

Do you really think he doesn't already realise that? Actually I don’t The guy is highly likely to drop out of League football after his contract is up as he doesn’t have the attributes to make it in L2 either

Being a failed striker does not make that player a good winger or midfielder. See Derek Riordon for details.

Hopefully someone can confirm If as we suspect he is on a 3 year deal then yes this is his last year. The same as Bennett who I think is unemployed at the end of the season. Cant wait

Tom will be fine! I’m sure the hair stylist companies are throwing modelling deals his way! Watch out for it!
TOM NICHOLS! Gives it his all! When he’s plays, people watch! And when people watch, the one thing that Tom will not tolerate is DANDRUFF! Wash & Go!
Tom Nichols! £300 grand But he’s worth it! (Hand swept through hair and a big cheesy smile)

He’ll be picked up by another club, possibly Exeter where he was a success or another League 2 club or even a League 1 club who played a different way to us. His time here will probably be up but he’s a good technical player who will find another place. UTG!

It's very difficult to imagine a L1 team recruiting Tom Nichols. The possible exception may be Exeter if they manage to secure promotion.
His record as a striker for Rovers is truly lamentable. His time here has been a failure and he needs to try pastures new. He may have to accept that his immediate future lays in L2. In addition, he is very unlikely to secure a similar contract to the one he is allegedly enjoying at Rovers.
Bennet's future also falls into the same category as Nichols.

Think he'll start next Sat.One of his best games was away to Barnet in the cup when he looked classy.Suspect a lower level suits him and a good game next Sat will help his wafer thin confidence. Sunday soz.

At this stage who honestly cares? There's probably a virtually identical post on here from 3 years ago. Let's just forget him and move on. The net benefit to the club will be exactly the same.

Given how today's game panned out you do have to wonder if he tucked away his pen at Donny whether we'd have held out for a win and now be back in the top 6.
