Is the world cup game likely to be shown at the Mem?
If a few staff were asked to turn up two hours early, I'm sure the costs would not be too high but the potential profits could be huge, especially if we qualify for the final.
In days gone by I'm sure Rob Laurance/Ian Holtby would have arranged a breakfast special and made sure that there was more than adequate advertising to make sure that it was a success.
(The key is to let people know!). Knowing us they will put something out at about 8am on Saturday, saying what's on at the Mem today!.
Last year there was a charity event with a band at 6pm after a game. The charity wanted to take advantage of Rovers fans coming along. They were a bit cheesed off that it was not mentioned anywhere apart from a note on the door, saying private function from 6pm.

The first question to ask is what licencing hours are the club allowed? I'm sure a few might be up for a session, but you have to ask the question, what might some be like at 1500 after starting drinking at 0830/0900 . Let's be honest the new bars at the Mem are pretty decent but hardly comfortable for a six hour plus stay up to kickoff. I think many will be quite happy to get out of bed at home and watch in comfort before setting off for the Mem at the usual time.

You really are the most completely ignorant, stupid, bell in the history of the world...which is the greatest understatement in the history of the universe.

Rugby Union is probably the 2nd biggest Sport in the Country. So it must be talked about and watched. I love it. Football more though. I still think NZ will win it. England will give them more of a game than Ireland did. That is for sure.

I don't get the fuss tbh. Any sport that applauds players kicking the ball out of play is a bit dubious, and then you have a ball that you cant really judge the bounce of. The games are too 'stop-start' as well, one of the reasons I dislike VAR in football.

The winner will come from our Semi final I imagine. Yeah New Zealand. Probably, but I think England would beat both Wales and SA.
