As a different option to possibly play up front while JCH is still out injured I'd be interested to know from someone who has seen him play how good he is/potentially can be. I know GC and others have mentioned him in interviews etc so has anyone on here seen him play for reserves/youth teams? (I know he's played a few trophy games and a couple of cameo appearences but not too much to judge him on from that).

He’s like Pele, Maradona and Jan Koller merged together.

The key word in your post is 'potentially'. I saw him pre-season and also in a few D.S. games. He isn't the finished article (hard to see how he could be) but there's definitely potential and he's worth a place in a matchday squad.

Not seen him play; but at the start of the season there was some delay over his contract being signed - could have just been agent/club negotiations rather than oodles of other clubs making him offers.. however after we finally got the deal done, I was expecting him to at least feature in the squad somewhere from time to time. Instead we usually have the loanee strikers on the bench.. although with JCH out and Tommy Nichols already scored his quota for the season, perhaps he would be worth a run out at some point?

Would be nice to be a couple of goals up tomorrow and see him get some meaningful time on the pitch - perhaps 20 - 25 minutes

I haven’t seen him play but he’s obviously a target man and that’s what we needed on Saturday. Playing route one football is never pretty but it can be effective (as it was with JCH in the side). Lumping the ball up to to 5ft 9in lads to try and win in the air against 2 big centre backs was one of the worst tactical displays I’ve ever seen. The options are either play someone who can win the ball in the air, or change the style of play. If we keep playing the way we did Saturday we won’t pick up another point until JCH comes back.

I've seen him in a few development matches this season and hes looked a mile from first team football. I overheard a Rovers backroom staff conversation at the Torquay friendly in Yate say his attitude was what holds him back.

Seen him play 3 times for the development squad. I don't think he will make it in league football but i hope i'm wrong and somebody reminds me of this post in the future.
