There is no way we are averaging over 2000 fans a game, surely.

That's match attendance of course, not just Gasheads.

I should have been more specific. What about just Gasheads?

Up until the end of September it was 723.
Since then we've had Aldershot (1255), Dorchester (1139), Telford (895)

Using my amazing prediction threads (<< shameless plug right there), we are averaging 814 away fans per game, not including Eastleigh as no Gas following was offcially given although that is likely to push that figure up listening to reports from the night.

Our away following at Eastleigh was 994 as advised by Keith Brookman.
Our average away following to date ( inc Telford) is 835

Our away following at Eastleigh was 994 as advised by Keith Brookman. thanks for that. it answers the question i was also going to ask as I couldn;t find an 'official' figure anywhere. eastleigh website, before the match, said we had sold almost 1,000 tkts and that was all they ever said publicly.

But we won't take a decent following to any of our games till after xmas and then we got a few long ass northern trips. It'll soon drop to around 550

I don't think their gates are very impressive, considering how well they're doing. Small club, really.

Lots of local city fans crawling out of the woodwork

The Hull playoff final injected "big club" mentality into their brains. That admittedly was a very good season for them, but they would have, without a doubt, have done a Burnley and shot straight back to the Championship, no doubt loaded with ££ multi-million player contracts they couldn't justify at their normal level.
That big club thing has never left them since, but the reality is that the rest of the country barely registers Bristol City, and certainly no-one sees them as big.
Whilst all this is true, since it is me saying it, and I know lots about everything, unfortunately we seem to have had the worst spell in our history so we can't be smug.
However, I firmly believe that our attendances in the Conference at home and away are a credit to us and comparable with what the Teds would achieve in our position.
