Good to see we have 700 targets identified and at least 300 within our price range for the January sales. I want names, come on you ITK people name names. Assuming we get 10 who will be moved out? Strange point of view,i mean if one of coughlans scouts leaked a target that could mess up a potential transfer. You think were going to sign 10 players?

One of the best articles i have read for a long time. Lots of detail, great stuff. Agreed - shame that the EP stitched him up for click bait purposes yesterday.

Interesting he's saying we got JCH on a free? I thought that was well known? That is what was reported when he joined us. I don't think posters could ever believe that we got him on a free after wasting so much on transfer fees on the likes of Nichols & Payne!

I can't see the teds loaning us any players to help us, especially as the snake was seemingly signed to stifle our promotion push.
Plenty of other bigger clubs like Southampton, Cardiff, Swansea and Southampton that are geographically close. Rather we tried them for talent than the inbreds.

Sorry for not recalling the entire script you posted.

It brings a whole lot more to the table than the other thread imo Amazing how you can spin a story to what you want readers to believe by taking snippits from an interview and putting together a whole different story isn't it?

What a complete an utter idiot. I mean you have to be to say something like this to the press don't you? Talk about patronising your own fanbase! 'Some fans won't want to hear it'.. You are **ng right we don't Tony! Imaging working for a club and then telling the press that you would love to become a feeder club to their closest rival.. It actually beggars belief. We are not Bath City or Yeovil town, we are Bristol Rovers and for many a year we matched that lot toe for toe every season. We all know that we have been a long way off of them for a long time now, but we are certainly not ready to throw in the towel just yet! Comments like this just go to further demonstrate the growing disconnect between the staff / owners of this club and us, the fans. Really disappointing. I am normally one of the first to shout down people who seem to want to mention DC at any given opportunity, but it feels relevant here, as can you honestly tell me that you could ever imagine these words ever leaving DC's lips?! I certainly can't. Bang on!!! Dont get me wrong it pains me to say this but they are now set up for the premiership in everyway and will get there in the next few seasons imho. But with that being said, its only been in the last few years they can say that. The 20 year gap has been about us going backwards and not growing rather than there growth. It wateres me off when people talk about us being in there shadow etc...Its like they are Man Utd/City and we are FC Utd or Stockport! We may still be playing at 'the park de la Tents' yet we are still a very soild L1 club which with the right investment and stadium could easliy get to where they are today. In fact if things on the field keep going as they are then we could even be on the championship next year. Widdrington is a Dam for saying this to the press and shows a lack of respect for the history hatred between the clubs. Would he say the same between the freaking north east clubs Where he is from in Newcastle and Sunderland where the gap between those two and us and City ( in the table is larger right now!) We should never deal with BCFC apart from when we ever play them or in local charity events in Bristol.

What a brilliant interview. Such a shame the disgrace we have for a local rag decided to create as sh** storm yesterday purely because they could. If I was Widdrington or frankly anyone else at the club I'd tell them to get f**ked next time they ask for an interview.
Good to see we're finally becoming a well run club in terms of on field stuff. We all know we've been seen as big payers for years and that's when you end up with dross on 3 year deals who couldn't care less about the club. Hopefully it might mean we don't sell players for peanuts again either!

I thought that was well known? That is what was reported when he joined us. Thats what I originally thought, but people on here seem to claim it was 100-150k etc. You know how it get's on here, prices paid (or not paid) increase every 3 months by 50k So that's why TN cost £650k. Ive often wondered.

He surely needs to come out, offer an apology and explain himself. I guess if people had read his whole interview before condemning him because of a click-bait headline in the BDE they would have seen the “explanation.” Why apologise when he’s working for the benefit of BRFC, and so far he’s done pretty well. UTG!
