Max and Mets are joined by James Piercy from the Bristol Post to review an eventful couple of weeks for the Gas. They give their reaction to Chairman Steve Hamer departing and the club issuing a very short statement on the website. They discuss what this means for the structure at the club and any effect on the parties that are interested in buying Rovers. They look back at two away wins in a week, Bromley in the FA Cup 1st round replay and the roller coaster game against Shrewsbury in the league. Are we now seeing the best out of Liam Sercombe and is Ollie Clarke Gerrard in disguise? The other development this week was head of recruitment Tommy Widdrington coming out and saying he would like closer ties with the red half of the city. Warning that the lads language gets a bit spicy here. They look ahead to the game at the Mem on Sunday against Argyle and who would be a dream 3rd round tie if the Gas manage to get there. The player in focus this week is Tony Craig. Just how long can he keep going on and how crucial is he in the back 3 partnership? listen.gascastpodcast.co.uk/276671/2187011-14-word-statement

Enjoyed this one, interesting hearing about the boardroom split without the ITKers spin on it. Have to disagree with tommym9 though, 100% penalty against Kilgour. We'd all be screaming for it if it was someone clattering into JCH

Can't pull back someone's arm though when running into the box, that (although soft) was what caused him to turn slightly before their feet got tangled. In my head the foot clash and pull back were more simultaneous - hence clatter.
I still think we'd have wanted it if it was on JCH!

Without question. Which makes it all the more hilarious.

I've tried three times to make the gif work without clicking it but I can't and I'm fed up of trying now. Click on it if you want to see the incident.

We'd all be screaming for it if it was someone clattering into JCH One thing is for sure.. if the match officials from Sunday were in charge - it would definitely have been a penalty Great pod - always some good insight when BristolPost James is on there.. even if there is much he seemingly cannot disclose publicly. Not sure I shared Mets' sentiment on booing City loanees.. *if* we (ill-advisedly from a banter perspective) decided to become a bit of a feeder club for our illustrious neighbours and took on one, two or several of their young players then we would surely still want them to do well whilst in blue & white for the sake of the team! … and if they actually helped us to promotion (imagine!) then we would have to respect them as players imo. But the biggest worst shout from this pod was wanting City in the 3rd round of the FA Cup... suggesting it was something of a free hit. "Win/Win" someone said. Absolute BULLSHIT. It's Win/Lose. I appreciate they would be expected to dick us.. and anything other than that *could* be considered a bit of a win for us.. but get this.. they might actually dick us! We would have to put up with their awful banter (mostly from their official social media channels) on the subject for years. … and who can forget us losing by a single goal at Ashton Gate (the last time we met).. they were a league above us, it was the early stages of a tinpot cup, one of the worst ever Rovers teams assembled (historically) and yet they beat us by one goal and have a pitch invasion and we have to see footage every anniversary. Awful shout from yourselves. Hang your heads in shame.
