1947 my father had just returned from fighting in the 2nd world war. That year he took me to everywhere he thought a young lad should go = Rovers at Eastville, Knowle speedway, the dogs at Eastville and Knowle, and even an aeroplane flight from Whitchurch aerodrome (it existed then) to Cardiff must be the longest flight ever! Yes, my love of BRFC began in 1947 and I still regard them as MY club. As I hope everyone reading this do too.

October 1969, Rovers 3 - 0 Rotherham
69-70 was a good season to follow Rovers, just missed out on promotion and crowds of 20,000 at Eastville - those were the days!!

17th April 1976 at Eastville against Southampton. Rovers won 2-0 both goals scored by Frankie Prince. Good job we won and I was hooked by the Tote End roar from that day because my second game was a 5-1 home drubbing by Wolves!

As a kid I supported Arsenal (Charlie George and the double winning team) but I did see Rovers lose 3-1 at the Dell against Saints. However, I started supporting Rovers a few years later and my first game supporting the Gas was a 5-1 away win against Swindle in the League Cup in 1984/5 I think. I thought Rovers were world beaters and they would fly up to Division 1. 😂⚽️ It didn’t take long for those early hopes to be dashed. 😂😩

October 1965, v Brentford. Lost 2-1 - and a dodgy penalty to boot. I'm sure one Bee stepped up to take the kick, ran around the ball and back outside the area as another Bee then ran up to take the penalty... and scored. Rovers played in blue and white stripes, Brentford in red and white stripes. As many have commented - hooked forever after.

1966 rovers against Middlesbrough, I think Rovers won 1-0 and Bernard Hall received a head injury and never played again, sat in the North stand, when I was older I stood on the Tote end.

Jimmy Hill's Coventry City, 1963. He dragged football into the game we've got today. They had a large noisy away support. Sky Blues were 2-0 up at half time. Rovers came back at them second half to get a draw, so exciting, I was hooked. So much so, me and my mate went to the next Rovers game, away to the sheeds. Got the Wessex special, it was full of horrible sheeds. They didn't wait for us after the game which Rovers lost 4-1. Hated them ever since.

Starting watching about 55 years ago. At that time, my uncle was a regular first teaser in the Biggs, Jarman, Hillard, Hamilton team. That team's photograph (played in blue and white stripes at one time) has been discussed on other posts.

Definitely have a clear memory of the Promotion pitch invasion at Eastville in 1974. I got knocked over by some Ginger haired prick while getting on from the North Enclosure. My Dad had him in a throat dance, it was quite upsetting really. Thought winning was standard. How wrong I was, another 16 years FFS.

Yes I can remember that Wolves game - we got pummelled as the score suggests - think it was xmas/new year game - remember also that we had to park way up Muller Road towards The Mem - when that happened you knew it was a big crowd. My first game was Feb 1973 - Gas 2 Bournemouth 0.

Must have been around late 72, early 73, south stand i think, cant remember who but the programme must be in with the rest up in the loft. Like others i thought winning nearly every week was normal, 50 years later how bloody green was i.

Anyway I watched about 15 minutes while he gesticulated to the Wolves fans. We got moved on. Proper Ted my Uncle.

First game 1977 a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace. Stood in the South Enclosure with my Dad and Uncle. Then regularly attended combination matches with my Grandad (2p for season ticket holders) in the South Stand before I became a season ticket holder in there. Eastville did seem a good stadium in those days.
