I get what you mean. But looking at our case in point there’s no point installing charge points in a stadium we don’t want to be in at the medium to long term or if we do will be subject to significant development. The range on the best EVs will match that of a lowish range petrol vehicle, and they can be charged up to 80% charge within 30 mins at a service station with a fast charger. We don’t have filling stations at most destinations so it shouldn’t be too much of a difference apart from time spent charging vs filling. If hybrids are anything to go by as well the range isn’t the best during winter. Range aside electric is a joy to drive! Regards new build I thought it was required they install them but apparently not and I can see why they wouldn’t. I have a hybrid and I spent £250 odd getting one installed but that was with a government grant - without that it would have been touching on £780. Plus I had to get a feed out to my garage to make it all possible. Builders won’t be eligible for that scheme - perhaps there’s another but wouldn’t bet on it. That’s largely the labour as well as the chargepoints themselves cost about £250. Nail hit on head really. Agree - no developer is going to do anything without some sort of incentive or regulation. Has to come from the top. If Governments are, as alleged, serious about this issue it is a cheap win (in the scale of Government spending) to make this small step in regulation and show some intent that may just rub off on us all to nudge us into changing our ways. You said it yourself - got a grant - surely it isn’t that much of a step to move that on to new builds? But what do us mere mortals know eh?

Ouch! Took that one personally. Obviously my username isn’t masculine enough Sorry axe I just used it as an excuse to have a pop at that little girl who is only in the eco warrior game for the money and Instagram fame. I’m not sure if that comment is tongue in cheek, but the last thing a person with Asperger’s Syndrome wants is lots of attention. Only someone with total belief in what they are doing/saying would put themselves through that.

The Labour policy of a third off the price of adult rail tickets and free rail travel for those 16 & under would be great for fans. It would help to reduce the cost of going to matches and so encourage more people to attend. Even better if Rovers had a stadium close to Temple Meads.

Have to say, I had no intention to join club eco warrior but have become more and more plastic conscious in the last year.
As much as I do t support Dale Vinces theory of total veganism etc the bamboo shirts were a brilliant idea and something macron and us should get behind imo.
All these little things go a long way but usually there is costs involved which obviously clubs want to keep to a minimum.

I may be over simplifying things here and happy to be told where I am going wrong. But I was watching the David Attenborough programme on tv the other day (and a wonderfully filmed and beautiful programme it is). However, this Guru of all things Eco was talking quite nonchantly in that programme about Australia and how, gawd knows how may years ago, it had broken away from the Southern Antartic and moved north etc etc. Now this happened long before any climate change warriors were on this planet and Humankind had had any detrimental impact on the climate. I got to wondering if that happened today how everyone would be talking doom and gloom, end of the world is nigh stuff. (As they are I guess) My point is this world has changed over squillions of years and will continue to change in the future, whether we are here or not. Mother Nature has far more power than any one alive on this earth. Whilst it can not be denied we have had an (negative?) impact on the environment of the planet I struggle to work out how much of an impact we actually have had when things like this have happened many millenia before we arrived? And will likely continue to happen in the future. PS - That doesn't mean we shouldn't try to do things better as per OP but just trying to get a context on where it all fits together It's still happening it's called continental drift, all land above sea level was in one mass named Pangea at one time. Yes there has been climate change before but it's being excelerated by our emissions, we are now suffering from the pollution of years ago. the pollution from now will not have an effect for many years yet, so if we stopped all harmful emissions tomorrow the average Temperature will still rise. Evolution needs a long time, if the past climate changed to rapidly through volcanism or asteroid strike we had mass extinctions, luckily for us or we wouldn't be here. A gradual shift in temperature life can adjust and evolve. You be n chatting to Wael? 😜

Put solar panels on all our solid roofs, a wind turbine on each floodlight tower and don't play any night matches, which must burn an obscene amount of electricity. Either hat or replace the halogen bulbs with LED items.

Genuine question, what can Rovers do to help combat increasingly pressing concern of climate change? VOTE Green Party

I sh** where I want and have human servants that follow me everywhere and clear up after me. Who said it was a dog's life

Match day stewards should police Fans Gas Emissions .... what some people must eat on a Friday night is incredible ...the very fact that they force it out on the terraces is unacceptable. The knock on effect is more intensive washing needed on skid marked underwear or in some cases swamp underwear ... no wonder the glaciers are melting.
Also horrible if you get caught in the green methane cloud behind the wind aggressor.
Stewards should throw people out at the first sign of bum belch .... make 5hem all sit in a portakabin together enjoying 5he stink of each o5her.

For the life of me I don’t understand why they don’t bring paper bags back on a mass scale. It seems the most logical thing to do.
