In your opinion do you think he will have his contract renewed ? Rodman? I hope so. Nichols? I hope not but I have a horrible feeling we will be talking about how great a midfielder he might one day be and how brilliant it is that he only ever scores one league goal a season and how every other league club should have a player just like him who blanks every game for some amazing reason that no one is quite able to properly express and that anyone who thinks goals are good is too stupid to understand in 2023. And when one day in the distant future when he finally scores the 10 league goals that he should be scoring as pretty much a minimum to keep his job there will be worship at the specially renamed Memorial "Flood" Gates.

Rodman? I can't make my mind up but we've still got another half season to see whether he's worth retaining.
Nichols? I've made my mind up a long time ago. Like the vast majority of the supporter base I would be staggered if he was offered another contract!

I think talk about Top Six is nonsense and will just cause a terrible atmosphere on here which will permeate to the terraces should we finish around 10th which would be a success in my eyes this season.
If you think the Holder of the purse strings will make money available in January you are deluded... GC will get nowt from the AQs. Much will hinge on Bennett being got rid of but even then the financial damage has been done.
I hope GC is with us for a long time to come but there is a club out there somewhere who will see the great job he is doing and have honest owners who will back him. As fans we don’t show him much love let’s have that roight ! Watch the haters moan when he leaves.
The club could not compete at Championship level and I think it would implode then look out as we could really fall quickly.
To be honest ... The fans don’t deserve promotion either ... the hardcore who attend regularly maybe but the rest of us constantly moaning about everything including the catering FFS ... Sorry No way! Attendance levels are shocking but 35,000 would still turn up at Wembley if we got there...,br] We are becoming a hard to beat L1 side ... with some proper backing we could push on but look at the Yo-yo clubs like Barnsley and Rotherham who can’t hold on to Championship status.

Over the 43 games since GC took over we're easily in the top 6 in the form league, why is it nonsense? A lot depends on a) what happens with JCH in January b) if JCH leaves will GC be given a decent transfer budget to bring in a replacement(s). www.twtd.co.uk/league-tables/competition:league-one/daterange/fromdate:2018-Dec-08/todate:2019-Dec-12/type:home-and-away/

That is a bit harsh after all we have gone through leaving our spiritual home, relocating twice before ending up in a sub standard rugby stadium, being the laughing stock of the whole league and having our top scorer practically stolen by our near neighbours and you say we don't deserve promotion. What more do you want ?

No team deserves promotion. You win promotion by earning it.
We've got every chance of a playoff spot if the current level of point acquisition is maintained. I felt really uneasy before the he season started and thought a relegation dogfight inevitable. Instead we find ourselcpves in a playoff spot and I'm still pinching myself.
GC has done a really great job and no doubt will be accorded the appropriate respect when he eventually leaves - for a bigger club.
The January window is critical to maintain momentum. There are a number of unknowns including the futures of JCH, TN and Bennett. In addition, I'd rather acquire no players in January than get a couple of journeyman professionals who merely increase the squad playing numbers but not its quality.
Finally, if and when the promotion possibility disappears (and relegation is mathematically impossible) I'd likel us to blood some development players. Hopefully give some youngsters half a dozen games or so against opposition thinking of their summer holidays.

Promotion will look even more promising when we take Aidan McGeady on a 6 month deal...

What has that got to do with whether he should be dropped for Tommy Three Goals? Rodman: Best attacking midfielder in the team at present. Nicholls: Statistically the worst striker we've ever had. I am asking your opinion of a player performance this season compared to his seasons with his previous club, nothing more nothing less How does Rodmans previous club form have any bearing on anything? I dont personally think he had lived up to expectations, but he is still consistently OUR best attacking threat from midfield. Suggesting swapping him for a player who has offered absolutely no attacking threat for 3 years is crazy!

JCH hasn’t been our best signing since Cogs took over in my view , a combination of Coughlan signing , and him signing the likes of JCH , Ogogo, Davies, Hare , Leahy etc shows it’s clearly a team effort and we’re not a one man team. We’ve done alright this season without JCH , mid table form and that shows this but with him Playing promotion form shows that he’s our key man. If we can get 6-7 points clear of 7th and lose JCH before the window closes we may just get over the line. Wouldn’t fancy our chances in the play offs without him if we don’t find a target man of his ability though. The most sickening thing is if he leaves in January he’ll probably warm the bench at a championship side , hardly play and hardly score. This is his peak so far in his career, why not keep it going for another 3 months and possibly win promotion , the league 1 golden boot, and player of the season. Money talks though, if he’s on 3 grand now and leaves for 10 grand then hard to knock it. The window will be a worrying time.

I think rodman has been a very good player for us this season even though the 3-5-2 formation does not really suit him. Coughlan's marquee signing is mark little and this also works against him.
