Let's hope he gets the backing in the January market. I am starting to believe, let's hope we can persuade the floating fans to come back and have an atmosphere like the second half at the beginning of every match.

I suspect we will v Posh as it's a big game. Can't see it for lesser opponents unless we go even higher in the table - sad really. Where are the vocal teenagers and 20 somethings ?

I doubt we'll get a big gate for the last game before Christmas, just a pity the fixtures computer didn't swap it with the Wimbledon game on Boxing Day, plus who'd send fans all the fans to Fleetwood for a festive fixture, that's just madness.

I wouldn't think miracles but he might just possibly know more about football and man management than some give him credit for.

Most of us started the season expecting nothing more than a battle to avoid the bottom 4 places. Then Bury disappeared and we were relieved that the bottom 4 places were reduced to only three places!
Now as we approach the he festive season (with getting on for half the season completed) we are talking about a promotion push if we can secure a couple of really decent players in January.
I'd say the manager has really worked a miracle.

All at Ashton Gate where they can sit in comfort and watch Championship football. The sh** have been handing out free stuff to kids for a long time now, and that means that most of Bristols new generations will be Sh1!heads.

And building the best training facility @£11.5m for Bristol Rugby in the Premiership - and will probably win the Pemiership next season. Another world!!!

That place makes this place look rose tinted. Honestly if we broke ground on a new stadium tomorrow, cleared all of our debts, gave GC 10 million to spend in January, they still find something to complain about.

The sh** have been handing out free stuff to kids for a long time now, and that means that most of Bristols new generations will be Sh1!heads. I gotta disagree with that to an extent. I think a problem the gas have is the number of amateur clubs we have in north Bristol and the amount of us playing football at 2pm on a Saturday in the winter months. Im 24 and play for Patchway Town so I can only make the Tuesdays and the odd Sunday game (although going to Ipswich cus we have no game), me and the a lot of my teammates are gasheads, but we’re all playing. I also know a lot of lads in our division at Henbury, Little Stoke, Wick, Hanham, Boco, Bromley Heath and rockleaze who follow the gas but are playing. Now that’s just one division. Look at all the others divisions (Bristol and district, suburban, tool station and Hellenic) and there’s a lot north Bristol based teams which I’m gonna take a punt on and say a good number will be rovers fans too. Cov away last season on the Sunday as I looked around the average age had to be somewhere in the 30s. The 20s supporters are there in name, but sadly as much as I love rovers, playing is more a priority while I still can! And I know a lot of other rovers fans who play think that way too.

What a crazy concept - so all North Bristol amateur clubs are mainly made up of Gasheads!
The old north/south of the river divide may have existed up until the 60's but I think you'll find it's no longer the case.
I've known gasheads from Knowle West, Totterdown & Hartcliffe as well as unfortunately knowing a fair number of Teds from Southmead, Filton and even Kingswood.
People drive cars nowadays - there's no more trams!

On the surface, yeah it is a bit of a bizarre concept, but just having been around it all since I’ve been playing from youth to present, I’ve met so many people similar age to me who are Rovers in name but never in attendance, and I believe that’s due to 1) playing on a Saturday afternoon. 2) £20 for a ticket including beers , travel, food etc. Is quite a bit of money when a lot of us are still on relatively low wages. 3) just not really liking football as much as previous generations because we think we know it all because of fifa, football manager and sky, then you go and watch rovers and it doesn’t resemble a single thing to what you see through a screen. Hugo is correct that City recent rebranding is definitely having an impact on very young lads getting involved in football for the first time, I just think there’s loads of different aspects as to why we don’t attract younger supporters to games.
