I honestly can’t remember the last time we scored so many goals from set pieces or our centre half’s contribute to the goal tally. If my memory serves me right only a couple of seasons ago not one of the centre backs scored all season.
It got me thinking back to big Stuart Taylor back in the late 70’s flicking on pinpoint corners from David Williams at the near post for Randall and Co to bundle them over the line.
The delivery from Liam Sercombe at pace makes us a threat in most games and makes a hell of a difference

Think we are getting this from sheff utd, wilder loves set pieces, down to the delivery in and we have players attacking it now. We are grinding out results and wont be too far off the play offs and have exceeded all our expectations. Not great on the eye some of the time but impressive recovery second half after the first half shambles. Imagine Andy Rammell attacking those sercs corners

Always liked Linesey, but most of his corners were slow and looped very high, whereas more recently our corners are lower and hit harder. It has been more noticeably recently that they have not been sailing over everybody and going out for throw ins to the opposition.

Coggers scored a goal every 7 games for Muff, I'd guess a fair few were with his bonce from set pieces.

Yes good to see more variation these days after couple seasons of 'hand in the air' same corner time after time and no end result
