Seriously, are we f**king cursed? This feels like just another day at the Gas, but really it is an extraordinary management move. Virtually unprecedented, I would think. A relatively new manager on a roll choosing to go to a struggling club a division below. Just as we seemed like we might actually achieve something. There was literally about 20 minutes between me thinking that we might actually do something this year, and hopes being dashed. Was Eastville built on the site of a pet cemetery, or a Saxon burial ground, or was it a plague pit in the middle ages, or did they burn witches there, or something? Seriously, what the f**k is it about our club that we can't seem to get a break? I think we’re just an average lower league club with all the usual ups and downs these days. Things were more up and down for us in the 80s and 90s regarding our home and our future they were crazy times, and also the relegation followed by back to back promotions were a rollercoaster too. But as an overall fan base i think that our faithful and true loyalty has gone out of the window these last couple of years and many posts on here tonight particularly as well as over the last couple of years sum that up. We’re currently 4th in league one which is bloody good going probably our best season in around twenty years or something. There’s been a massive lull in morale during the last year in which we’ve gone from bottom of the league 4 points adrift to 4th in the league January to January. Our manager who has overseen that last year says he has a decision to make over the weekend with his family and you’ve only got to scroll through the threads on Gaschat tonight to see that our fan base has become much more like the 82ers than I ever thought it could have. Great times for the team anyway. And no we aren’t cursed , get behind the manager and his team who have got this far and watch them go at it. UTG [br But that manager has said that he is ₩ Pretty much 99.99 % off for whatever reason tonight. Hard to get behind him when he could be leaving for a L2 team monday morning surely?

If I knew you personally I would be willing to bet you £10 that he wont be in charge for the Plymouth match based on his interview. You cant say what he said and keep his job.It was basically saying Im off but will tell you all monday morning.Sadly there is no return even if he changed his mind. If he is in charge for another match I will be respectful, but disapointed.

Disappointing to say the least, but GC wears his heart on his sleeve and he has often referred to his family in interviews, they are quite rightly his number one priority and the opportunity to greatly improve that aspect of his life is to good to ignore. I suspect he has agonised over the situation for some time and as for relocating he knows full well he is only ever a run of bad results from the sack so I can understand where he is coming from. If he is leaving he goes with my thanks for the fantastic job he has done at Rovers and I wish him and his family all the best ,could be in relegation battle with his old boss!

Thing is it's all good he's agonised over this for some time but Mansfield sacked their manager just a few hours ago. Then supposedly we've turned down their approach. So did they sack their manage hoping they could tempt GC or have they been tapping him up? The fact they still had a manager when this first came out is very odd.

Players and managers are always tapped up, it's what happens, usually through the agent.

Starting to think we could do with us doing a Bury and just putting us all out of our misery, our best win in 20 years and then the manager decides to announce he's joining an L2 side playing in front of 4K home gates. Very Over the top saying its our best result in 20 years. Maybe not the best result in 20 years but certainly the best league position for 20 years! I said after last weeks win I am so confused with Rovers right now. Yesterday just took it to another level! I've no idea what to think anymore!!!
