I've just listened to the interview again and it could just to do with his personal life and that's all. She's had enough of him being away. Nothing at all to do with the club, owners or budget before we multiply everything by a hundred. He was emotional he didn't express himself clearly and so it's easy to read other stuff that perhaps might not be there. Especially against the backdrop of the secret direction our club is moving. Just my thoughts. If you believe that ask anyone at the Blue Diamond meal on the 5th December just after he had left a meeting with Wael. He was the guest speaker. Couldn't believe how blunt he was about what he had been told. Mind you, our new ITKer might put a different slant on it. But this time there were over 100 witnesses. All ties in with what I am thinking. GC met Wael on the 5th December to discuss the budget for the January transfer. His comments yesterday were not just about his family and yet others are ignoring that fact. I'm in the " he is off because a lack of ambition from our owners" school of thought.

Which is most likely near the truth. So the question then arises - who would come in from outside the club under those circumstances? Or if they came how long would they stay? Might even ask who from within the club might want to step up to that poisoned chalice? Must be someone I guess. We will have to wait and see.

What did he expect, especially after DC said the same things a year ago while he was still here. Crowds have dropped too and we were already losing money hand over fist. He has managed ok this far and exceeded expectations, why jump ship because you didnt get what you were never promised?

You’ve gotta laugh otherwise you’d cry. Seriously this sort of sh** doesn’t happen to any other normal football club. No of course it doesnt, Bury or Bolton ring a bell...how about Sunderland languishing a number of places below us. Ah that’s sustained financial mismanagement. At least they can see what they’re getting, we’re jekyll and hyde, we don’t know what we’re getting from one minute to the next I’m thinking gas calamity like Santa’s grotto getting relegated out of the league on the last day of the season by a team wearing our own kit despite being only in the bottom positions on the final day Signing a player who leaves two weeks later Big screen gate Watertight contracts Consistent FA cup upsets Ragbag rovers era nostalgia Players picking up the fox sh** from the training ground Beating a non league side in the cup purely because the linesman has had a howler, and the player has chucked the ball directly in the net. And in the same match the game has to be stopped because someone has melted the pitch Safety officer lightening gate at Wycombe But then again we’re known for our our more positive calamity rovers moments such as various cup upsets where we’ve done the upsetting. And then there’s the bitter sweet like yesterday I know some of it applies to many other teams, and it could be much much worse, but we get more than our fair share of facepalm moments

That doesn't stir the pot enough though does it?

But even then, stay and finish the job. We should be safe barring a massive downturn in form. I think pressuring a move shows total lack of respect for our football club.

No real proof of that though plus he must be the luckiest bloke alive that Mansfield just happen to offer him a similar paid job (or probably better one) the week his Mrs threatens a divorce!!

None of whom in 10 days has seen fit to post/comment on social media etc these unbelievable blunt comments? 🤔 f**ks sake, you go and join the Supporters Club so you can find out what's going on, only to find you need to then join the Blue Diamond club. Just how many clubs do we have to join to find anything out? You obviously don't know what the blue diamond set up is. The only criteria is age 50 or over. I won't say what he said as the usual suspects would say I was lying, so you will have to hope someone else who was there will post it. GC was at peace with the fact he was now in a good place with the fans. They weren't the problem. Since then, and nothing to do with the above, I'm told that he became aware that up to five players could be sold in January. This apparently came to light since the blue diamond meal. If true, and names I've heard are JCH, Kilgore, Upson, Bennett, and I can't remember the other one, we could still be relegated. I hope this isn't true, but if it's anywhere near true, what a kick in the teeth this would be for the fans, who as usual, were absolutely brilliant on Saturday. As we all left the ground, I know that I was beginning to wonder just where we were going to end up this season, and the atmosphere was electric. GC had been absolutely ecstatic at the final whistle, and I think many of us there were beginning to believe we might actually have a chance of achieving the impossible. To then find out within half an hour that he was about to quit was really gut wrenching. We all know where the problem is, and with this issue now in the public domain, it could result in unrest on the terraces. I hope it doesn't, because we have to try and keep winning games, just in case we need to get to 50 points in a hell of a hurry. However,

Oh, by the way gashead 1981 if you are watching, STEVE HAMER ASKED ME TO TELL YOU THAT HE DIDNT TELL ME ANY OF THIS. Well, I assume he would have if I knew how to get hold of him.

As far as I'm aware Henbury is a Blue Diamond member. Could he verify the story you won't tell everyone? Or do I need to age 30 years and go back in time and join to find out for myself?

When the next manager does the same it's pretty hard to ignore.
