In all seriousness, do we have a room for press conferences?

In all seriousness, do we have a room for press conferences? Journo's have to queue up in single file to enter Santa's Grotto where they are held this time of year.

In all seriousness, it seems certain that this will be a conference to announce GC has left the club. I’d be very, very surprised if it’s anything other than an internal replacement. The last two internal replacements (DC & GC) both left the club in a better position than when they started.

Well let's wait patiently in anticipation for a Winston Churchill type leadership press conference announcing great things ahead for the club and not be to disappointed when an uninspiring building society manager equivalent steps in to tell us not to worry the new owners have someone else in mind as our next manager Dean Holdsworth

Was talking to couple other gasheads this afternoon and the question was asked - why can’t GC’s family move south to Bristol?

Footballer managers are nomads. Their families are not.

Hopefully it's a press conference WAQ announcing they will be selling the club with immediate effect. Back in the Higgs days we didn't have the resources to do much, but he was a Rovers guy. Cant remember so many laughable to moments like the current lot have given us. This board, minus Tom Gorringe, have been an absolute shambles, just got to look at the number of people who have come and gone...have delivered another laughable moment for everyone other than us Gasheads. Time to go Al Qadis. Getting relegated to the Conference was pretty laughable. I'd rather have the playing side nonsense we've got now than put up with that again!

Was talking to couple other gasheads this afternoon and the question was asked - why can’t GC’s family move south to Bristol? Probally don't want to. Didn't he say his son was a Wednesday season ticket holder. Probally have friends and work there etc. Think GC seven mentioned thier training ground etc, so not sure if his son is involved with them. If they wanted to move, they would have done by now.

Was talking to couple other gasheads this afternoon and the question was asked - why can’t GC’s family move south to Bristol? Think about what you and your mates are saying for a minute. His kids would need to change school, his wife find a new job and they'd need to find a new house. Then he could get sacked 3 months later as, let's face it, he's hardly Mr popular amongst the fan base anyway. A few losses on the bounce and the pressure would mount very quickly if we were still playing turgid football.

However if you don’t like being away from the family then being a football manager probably isn’t for you.

I don't get the geographical issue; 8 years spent in Essex, 2 years in Bristol and Shrewsbury. I cant believe he couldn't find anything nearer to home in all those years. All seems a bit strange just when his managerial career is taking off...

Limiting his future work options to such a small geographical area seems a bit at odds with someone claiming to be very ambitious in progressing a managerial career.
