Interesting. Posh brought the same number as the Teds took up to Hillsborough.

Agree with vast majority of that Steve.... The sooner Abs Ogogo is back to replace Clarke the better... would love to know how he injured his hand in training? ? My concern is that we might well lose our Keeper and Main striker in this window such is the contempt the AQs have of the fans and the drive they have to reduce their financial exposure. We should truthfully be looking for exits for Bennett and one or two others who add very little - I possibly would include our Captain in that who would find L2 a better level for him. I would offer KM the role with Manse until the end of the season … sticking two fingers up to the Banned word treacherous Irishman whilst adding some stability … I'm hoping TW is already working his magic behind the scenes with the 'unbudgeted for' Cup money that could surely add one maybe two to this squad. Contempt the Al Qadis have for the fans? You're aware they paid for both to come here right? I'm no longer their biggest fans but the constant jibes and digs is getting boring. Can't we just leave it for a bit? It is the equity in the Memorial Stadium that the Dunfords and Higgs built that has paid for the investment so far. Never forget!

I thought we were absolutely superb yesterday all over the pitch. Playing some excellent football in spells. Very confident going into Boxing Day against a poor Wimbledon outfit. Yeah Wimbledon have one win in their last 8 away. The sort of game we need to win if top six is possible.

It really is must win as you say.

It really is must win as you say. We’ve only lost once at home this season but have drawn 4 out of our last 8 at home. I’m not really worried we’ll lose but I’d say it’s 50/50 we’ll win / draw.

A lot of talk about JCH and the worry over him leaving but I would be interested to know how long the contracts are for some of our other players such as Jaakkola, Alfie and Rollin. It's inevitable that their performances will get noticed, especially two young CBs getting lots of game time and doing well. I'd be very surprised if teams from higher leagues don't have a look. Would be nice to know that our assets are rewarded for their performances and tied down so if anyone did come looking, we can at least demand a decent fee. AK: At the end of the 2018–19 season, Bristol Rovers exercised a contract extension for him. He signed a new contract in August 2019. You'd hope that was at least another 2 year contract. I'd be surprised if we have clubs banging the doors down to sign Rollin just yet.

Talk about over- and mis-used phrases. Ok, we lose and fall out of the top 6 with the cavalry all securing wins. We then go to Fleetwood in a very tricky game on the 29th. For anyone that has play off/automatic aspirations, the likes of Wimbledon at home is absolutely a must 3 points.

Remove Bennett, Mensah & Reilly from the wage bill and that is a hell of a saving right there. I cannot see that any championship clubs will be looking for a number one goalkeeper in January, no less paying a handsome fee for a 32 year old plying his trade in the league below. Unfortunately I don't think Mensah will be going anywhere permanently until his contract is up with us. His wage is reportedly one of the highest at the club and he can't even make the first 11 at a poor National League side. Reilly is a better option than Adeboyejo in my view and it may be worth keeping him in the squad atleast until the end of the season when his contract is up and go from there.

I actually feel a bit sorry for Mensah he was raw but imo never really given a chance. He had pace and was strong I think there was definitely something to work on, unfortunately I think the moment has gone for him here now, I can't see him coming back especially as you say he can't force his way into Maidenheads side. Reilly looked a bit lightweight to me but did pop up with a goal or two wouldn't be surprised to see him permanently at Cheltenham if they can afford his wages

If the 3 year contract was at 1k a week, that’s a minimum of 230k spent on 3 sub appearances. No wonder the current pot is dry.

Could see another loan to a different League 2 side in January if Cheltenham don't wanna extend his loan until his contract runs up.

Still baffles me why he was never really given a chance

It's extremely unlikely that Mensah and Reilly will be with us next season. It didn't work here for either player. It makes sense to continue their loans to wherever from January in order to reduce the call on the wage bill.
It does appear that the costs of employing Mensah were really high when compared to the return.
