The problem with us signing wingers is against Stevenage, we were dreadful when playing a flat back four, like really bad. I'm guessing that wingers are best utilised in a 4 back formation? I haven't personally seen many teams with wingers and wingbacks, that just seems counterproductive. So if we are going to sign Ginnelly and play him regularly, we are going to have to get better at playing in that new system and quick. Agreed, winger only makes sense if we play with a back 4 and with no right back and with doubts over TDH's fitness that is not practical.

Thought it sounded too good to be true, so just two kids signed so far neither of which seem anything special.

The scouting team will have targets who the manager has okayed and the club are likely working to sign them. Plenty of people making decisions, Garner's not running the whole show.

I still reckon we should go and get the winger Callum Roberts from Blyth Spartans. Proved he can do it against his age group with 34 goals and 27 assists in 87 appearances for Newcastle U23s and gained valuable experience in non-league and proved he is a class above that standard with 17 goals and numerous assists in 25 appearances for Blyth.

I'm sure any potential player will understand why Ben can't be there. Does not mean, that he can't talk to them though. That he can't talk to others. We don't normally sign anyone until the end of the window. So we are ahead of schedule anyway lol. So far 2 in and only 1 out. 3 in if you include Reilly.

I suppose technically it is two out if you count Moore’s contract not being renewed and Smith’s loan terminating early.

Is this starting to look like the Liam Scales transfer that never happened One has to wonder if there are lot of internal machinations going on within the club , is our CEO out of control, do we know the full reason why our last two managers left. Most importantly did Ken get his viagra from his locker before being thrown out. Have you got a personal interest in this, Bolders?

Good you're giving them time though 😂 Have you bothered to actually turn up and watch them play? Two U23 players are hardly going to set L1 alight in thier first season at this level, we need seasoned pro's like Ogogo, Craig and JCH not kids for a relegation battle. Only a numpty would think kids are the answer to our present problems.

That’s all well and good from our end but who is going to want to come and play for a club that currently doesn’t know it’s ass from it’s elbows? Widdrington can tell them that it’s Garner managing the team over the phone but one look at our results of late will suggest that he might not be in a job long term and a club in a spiral like ours with facilities like ours in a location like ours will be a tough sell- particularly for talented youngsters whose clubs care about their development. We’ll end up with dregs...and that’s if we’re lucky. The club is a total mess at the moment and any player will smell it on us a mile off

Only a numpty would think kids are the answer to our present problems. You said Bolton had a play off potential side, when they signed a few non league and under 23 player's. But when it's us.......... I'm not saying they will turn out to be good or bad. Just you can't judge after 2 games. 1 only started 1 of them! People moaned about Lambert and Roberts after a few games. People were raving about Bennett after a few games and about Payne after his debut. I'm nearly 40 and have learned not to judge player's straight away. You are older than me, thought you would have learnt by now. We need more experienced players as well. But Bennett and Nichols are taking up a chunk of that budget. Younger player's are cheaper, so you need a mixture. Player's like Barrett are a gamble, but when it pays off, you make a decent profit from it. We are not in a relation fight at the moment. All season I have looked down, before I looked up. We need 9 more points roughly, when we get them I will be happy. It's about building for next season and beyond now.

They might look at our results and think I have more chance of playing and making an impact. Most of them will understand football more than our fans lol. They will see we need numbers, we are struggling for player's etc
