Short term appointment would work and he has said he would drop to league 2 to do it (and the Sh1!heads hate him)
Most of English football hates him. I still remember him as Notts County manager. Absolute nob. I'd rather go down that have him as manager.

No chance. Owners wont pay his wages. Warnock is desperate to reach 1500 games so it won’t be about the money. This appears perfect and given the players we have, could see an improvement in our fortunes. As an aside, I have not been Garners biggest fan but I sincerely hope all ends well for him.

Anyone want to hazard a guess as to how much salary he'd ask for? On top of paying BG's wages? Not a chance. Considering he's openly said he's open to dropping as low as League 2 I wouldn't think he'd be asking for much. Just something to keep him occupied for a few months Whatever he wants, it'll be an extra expense as we'll still be paying BG.

You would have hoped the possibility of promotion would have done that already....

A Zimmer frame at 71? Why do you think the pension age keeps rising?

Like him or not, the guy gets results. If he came in now, and don't forget we are only a couple of points off a play off spot, there is every chance we will finish in the top six. He has eight promotions.

Just something to keep him occupied for a few months Whatever he wants, it'll be an extra expense as we'll still be paying BG. With Warnocks profile and record it could also put more fans through the turnstiles and give us a better chance of getting back in the top 6, possibly finishing in top 6, Play Offs and who knows promotion? That would give us more revenue than we'll be paying out for Warnock.

I'm not sure I understand the calls for Warnock/Pulis. Either would be incredibly expensive, and tbh what's the urgency?
We're absolutely miles off being good enough to go up this season, and we've got enough about us to be clear of relegation - only 3 or 4 wins out of 22 remaining games would see to that.
All Pulis/Warnock would do is make us more solid, which Maher is more than capable of doing whilst Widdrington brings in the long-term targets that Garner and the scouting team want at the club for next season.

I’ve always thought that if I was a professional player he’s one of the managers I’d like to play for. If he wants it and we want him then it would be great.

Hi Ben, hope the family is all good and getting better. Oh, by the way, we've employed Neil Warnock rather than let the existing coaches and staff see us through to the end of the season. He's only 12 games away from reaching 1500 games. Hope you understand.

I’d like Warnock rather than Garner for a couple of years but if it’s just short term then there really isn’t much point.

We currently have no manager due to personal reasons. For how long? Who knows. Warnock has come out in the press saying he wants one last job for the short term, whether that be 12 games, a couple of months or until the end of the season. I don't think he'll be asking for much considering it sounds like he's not bothered dropping down to League 2. Sounds like a perfect scenario to me. No harm in asking.

No. What we need is some continuity right now. Maher is the man Is Maher a leader ? How much experience does he have ? Not sure he's even been an Assistant Manager. If the club know Garner is not going to be around for several weeks I'd look to get somebody in - even Warnock ! He said he doesn't mind if it's even in L2 ! He's not my type of manager but nor was Coughlan ( playing style) - but he has all that experience and will ensure players are organised and focused every game !

An important time of the season and we're hoping someone comes in who doesn't even know the surnames of any of our players? Not a good move.
