Yes please. Imagine the look on the teds faces if he got us to the champ! f**k me! How long is he staying? Ten year deal. We’ll win promotion to the championship in 2029-30 but not be allowed in because we’re still at the Mem.

We currently have no manager due to personal reasons. For how long? Who knows. Warnock has come out in the press saying he wants one last job for the short term, whether that be 12 games, a couple of months or until the end of the season. I don't think he'll be asking for much considering it sounds like he's not bothered dropping down to League 2. Sounds like a perfect scenario to me. No harm in asking. An important time of the season and we're hoping someone comes in who doesn't even know the surnames of any of our players? Not a good move. Indeed an important part of the season. Warnock's track record over 30 years of management is 2nd to none, promotions galore at pretty much every club he's been at. He's very knowledgeable about every level of English Football, I am sure he knows who our players are. Warnock had Ben Garner as his coach at Crystal Palace, they know each other. Due to sad circumstances our current manager is unable to do his job at this current time, a manager of Warnock's experience and calibre to come in and give us a hand until Garners ready to return sounds perfect to me. At least give him a call.

Breaking news; Warnock the new Rovers manager. Source - GasChat (fact) Expecting an announcement any time now. Would be very typical of our communication to not confirm Warnock as new manager. If we don't hear anything about this in the next 24 hours, then we should start blaming Wael.

Normal circumstances I would say no. But this isn’t normal circumstances. They have said Garner is on extended leave, so why not, until the end of the season or until Garner returns. However, IMO, Wael wouldn’t go for it, as Warnock is experienced as you can get, I don’t think the club is interested in experience.........

I don't think this'll happen and I'm more than happy for Mayer to keep the hotseat warm for the foreseeable future. But if there is a serious possibility then there's no harm in asking.
Its not an opportunity that will come around very often and in our pretty unique current situation there's not much to lose.
I would like to think that if they know each other, a conversation would be had between BG and Neil Warlock before any official wheels started turning. If it cleared that first hurdle with BG's blessing then why not?!
He's been there, done it. He's looking for exactly this sort of short term situation. And although obviously not enough reason to take a punt on him alone, it would really rile the other side of Bristol - which would be a lovely bonus and I think would galvanise the fan base for a nice change.
Those asking for an older head to come in when GC left, there are not many older! Those asking for a short term appointment to see us through this season, this is a fine fit. Albeit in circumstances that none would wish for.
I'd say the only person that would be stung by bringing the Warlock in is Mayer. Depends on his ambitions I suppose but he's still here after BG got ahead of him for the top job.
TL;DR Why not?! With an OK from BG it could be an entertaining short term solution! But I don't think it'll happen.

A Zimmer frame at 71? Why do you think the pension age keeps rising? I’m 57 and I need one, well only on a Friday & Saturday night. Do you need it to take home the poor thing you've picked up at Chasers?

Hi Ben, hope the family is all good and getting better. Oh, by the way, we've employed Neil Warnock rather than let the existing coaches and staff see us through to the end of the season. He's only 12 games away from reaching 1500 games. Hope you understand. Football is a results business and life goes on, unfortunately. The club should be doing it's best to beat everyone else in the division to promotion the same as they are all currently doing. We can't stand around and just let turmoil reign as a way of paying our respects to the guy who was doing the manager's job. Getting Warnock in until the end of the season with a mandate to take us up would be a highly ambitious move and would suit our playing style. It absolutely won't happen though.

Short term appointment would work and he has said he would drop to league 2 to do it (and the Sh1!heads hate him)
Most of English football hates him. I still remember him as Notts County manager. Absolute nob. I'd rather go down that have him as manager.
what a ridiculous statement

Well the last sentence maybe a tad OTT but the rest is valid.

what a ridiculous statement I'd assume you weren't around at that time? Several incidents culminating in a pretty frigid atmosphere between the Gas and NW.
