. Why?? He said he would go to any club, even league 2. As he just wants another 12 games to get to the 1500 milestone. So if Garner won't be available due a few months, it might suit him. Think he lives in Cornwall, so he's not going to get much closer to home. He wants a short term job, to get to that milestone, then he wants to retire. We could be the ideal job for him, at this stage. ok put your money on ot then ~ no ? didnt think so We don't know if Garner will be out long term, or what the plan is. Point I was making, is that he would come here. No way of telling, unless we offer it to him. So how can I put money on it??

I'd snatch your arm off for Warnock.

I'd snatch your arm off for Warnock. Had warnock taken over from GC, we would probably still be in and around the automatics, with a strong possibility of promotion. Mate of mine at work is a Rotherham fan and he agrees that this is the weakest league one in many a year. There are no big-hitters. He reckons this Rotherham side are nothing special yet they are top of the league.

Also thinking back to last season, Luton were by far and away the best team, haven't seen anyone close to them this season.

Maybe just his opinion, but he is a very successful manager so his opinion has to be respected. “Very successful” is a relative term - not in the same league as Klopp and Guardiola. He got a lot of teams promoted and rarely survived in the higher league, or continued at a club to establish a long track record. Give Neil Warnock the funds to break 2 World transfer records or the luxury of spending £300M on Full Backs, I guarantee Warnock would win trophies as well. Put Klopp or Guardiola in charge of Scarborough, Notts County, Huddersfield or Plymouth in Division 3/4 or The Conference would they be able to get them promoted? Not so sure.

A guarantee that you will never have to meet of course, as the major clubs never have and never will agree with you.

A short term deal until the end of the season and could help Ben prepare for next season.

A short term deal until the end of the season and could help Ben prepare for next season. Maybe another Trollope Lawrence situation, I think it would be good for BG to get advice from someone with the exact opposite philosophy on the way football should be played, a healthy dose of pragmatism to go along with the idealism and vision might be a potent mix.

Having apportioned BG as manager you can't suddenly bring in a DoF unless BG agrees, which seems v. unlikely otherwise it's classed constructive dismissal

Is this the same Neil Warnock that paid 10million for Bobby Reid on a 4-year deal and hardly played him?

I was saying I think he would, if we offered it to him. I never said he would come here, as I didn't know what Garner's situation was.

Well some of the responses on this thread look a bit silly, don't they? I would rather have Garner back at the reigns over Warnock any day of the week.
