In previous years gone by we would of been bashing the board with songs of sack the board etc The fanbase seems apathetic towards this sort of behaviour nowadays and maybe with good reason not that it comes to my mind. Personally I've had enough of wael and co and their ownership is slowly making me feel more distant as a fan and completely disillusioned with the future of BRFC. Do we sit tight and hope things will change or is it time for a good old protest? If the latter it would excite me and really get me up for the battle because as we are I just feel lost, empty and tbh the clubs starting to have a depressive effect on me. It feels to me like the BRFC I love is dying - i don't want to ignore it and be distant, I want to be in the thick of the battle for the good of BRFC. I'm not advocating disorder but I do wonder for all the other gasheads out there, when is enough, enough?
Tin hat on awaiting replies of comparisons to Higgs and co and being pointed out the tiny positives that wael and co have brought. To me there's not a lot you could say to change the way I feel. The knights fallen off his horse and we need somebody else to get in the saddle.

One of the problems is that back before Higgs you could see almost anyone getting involved and having an ongoing manageable club on their hands. After Higgs it felt like you needed a multi-millionaire to get involved to clear up the debt and the wonga loan. Now, with the extra and increasing debt it feels like the list of people able to have a go is diminishingly small. I feel like now we do really need to be careful what we wish for.
Also, liking them/their tenure is entirely different to wanting them to leave (unless you're just allowed to fantasise about a replacement).

As a serious question to anybody who decides to register an opinion in this poll, could I urge you to consider who you would prefer to own the club and then to further consider whether they would be a better option and better for the club than Wael (or Dwayne Sports) are.
For me, I am grateful that we do have owners and that they seem to be funding our annual financial deficit (for the time being anyway). I would much rather be in our shoes than that of Bury or even Bolton.

Tricky. On the face of it they have taken us over with a stadium deal in place and the opportunity to progress us as a club and got nowhere with it. They have tried for almost 4 years now to deliver an alternative and the debts have mounted. Of course, this is extremely disappointing.
On the other hand we’re not privy to, and probably never will be, the information as to how good the deal was, and we have no idea really how the negotiations for other sites have gone and how an alternative ownership would have done. Additionally, what would have happened if they hadn’t have got involved? Nobody can speculate on this - not even those who believe themselves to be in the know.
That said the last 18 months have been a particularly dark time. Losing our long serving manager who has delivered us the most promotions we’ve ever seen. Seeing a manager save us from relegation and take us to a promotion seeking position to leave us for a lower league club and be replaced by a manager who has done the flip opposite of his predecessor. To top this off we have BGs unfortunate circumstances (which is of course not the fault if anyone connected to the club) We’re a mess on the field and off the field matters are as up in the air as they ever have been.
But under different owners, would anything be any different? Would we be in business? Like we say in hindsight regards GC, perhaps better the devil you know, and be careful what you wish for. But the one thing for certain is there is precious little to be excited about right now.

Been in the Home end only away games too. Nearly shat myself on Easter Mon 1972, stood on the Holt End at Villa Park, when we equalised I for got where I was 😩

I voted for undecided. Granted that Wael has honourable intentions, and for sure we could have it way way worse (Bolton, Bury, Macclesfield).
However, since the collapse of the UWE deal, the communication has been lamentable and is the number one source for angst amongst the fanbase in my view. Without information, the trouble makers and paranoids go into a frenzy which destroys any positivity. My biggest fault however is the ridiculous situation with the Colony training ground. For me it became clear that the owners were guilty of having performed almost no due diligence prior to purchasing the club and indeed the Colony land. To have given us fans and more importantly DC who had signed a 5 year contract on the basis of significant off field progress being within sight, false hope of us getting a high class training facility and then doing literally nothing with it for years afterwards is shocking. To have let the time go by without even making communication on it is simply inexcusable.
I don't necessarily want them out, but I want them to see the error of their ways and make serious improvements to their communication on important issues. At least I want them to show us that they actually have a plan. It seems with the lack of communication that everything is stagnant and they don't have a clue, but this could well be me jumping to false conclusions. The answer? Tell us what's going on and stop taking us all for mugs.

I think the poll results will depend what day of the week it is. I remember more animosity at previous times than at the moment. Having said that I’m still surprised that the numbers who want them out are so low. A sign of the world famous Bristol Rovers apathy perhaps?
For those in favour of Wael- what does he offer as a president?! The man is never seen in the media anymore. I could accept this if it weren’t for the fact that we know he is not usually shy in front of the camera as he proved when he first joined. As things have got progressively worse he has sought the shelter of his metaphorical bunker, hardly to be heard from again.
DS service the debt (that they ran up and charge us interest on) I suppose, they bring in players (although we seem to be increasingly moving to be reliant on cheap and callow youth with little experience- that will eventually not be enough to keep us in this division). They are doing the bare minimum to keep us ticking over, whilst shedding staff behind the scenes.
Of course new owners are a spin of the wheel of fortune. It’s 50/50 to my mind. I struggle to see how we could be any worse run in terms of a direction and strong leadership. I’ve been fed up with this lot for a while but finding ourselves on a losing run with a manager who still seems to be in control using a phone just takes the cake. I think Socrates nailed it on the other thread: as much as I can’t stand the guy in hindsight Coughlan was something of a leader and was holding all this sh** together. His absence has laid bare that we have no leader in any area of the club anymore. Totally rudderless and at the mercy of lurching from one crisis to another.
