We support a club that someone else owns. Therefore we don't have any control. Can we understand that please?

Start a Protest ... Off you Go ! Will die out in week or two.
When are people going to realise these Suits don’t give a toss about fan reaction or care about fan opinion.
They look down their noses at all of us and will do What they want, How they want, When they want with Whom so ever they want.
Their retort is ...If you don’t like it ... Don’t come to the games.
Sadly we are all addicted Gas heads who care for our clubs well being now and in the future when these Cuckoos in the Nest will have long since flown. Hopefully there will be something left to support ...
If they do kill our club we will resurrect it somewhere else... WE are Bristol Rovers not them !

Gas heads starting a protest is laughable. We couldn’t start a pitchfork rebellion if it was 1685 and that was a legendary year for pitchfork rebellions! Yes I know I am part of the problem as well but I just cannot be arsed to be honest. How about if somebody draughts up a letter or email with bullet points outlining what we want to know, see and expect in ways of plans and projects for the club. Attach a petition of signatories and give it to the board via someone??? A few thousand signatures would not be easy to get but might make people sit up and take notice. Maybe get some help from GT and radio Bris.

In town. 12,000 seats for intimate atmosphere, expandable to 30,000 for big games. With removable flowerbeds. 2: Communication Must say what we want to hear. Every day. 3: Playing budget Must sign all the best players on a top 3 budget without going into debt. No mistakes. 4: Ownership Fans must own the club and have a say on everything, while taking no financial risks. No money up front, but benefit from cheap sausage rolls. 5: Board We're gonna need a bigger boardroom. signed AF

give it to the fans to run the club Do you really think the ALQ's are going to write off £10m+ of debts and handover the Mem worth £25m+ because you've started a protest thread on the forum? Even if they ever did how could fans meet the annual £1m+ losses and fund a new stadium and training ground? Was just about to post something similar.

My Mrs works in HR and has just reminded me that we need to follow best practices. If the board have completed their probation period, which they have, then we need to start with a verbal warning. This could be followed up by another then a final written warning. Unfortunately we cannot just sack them unless gross misconduct can be proven. What are you taking about, you can't just sack an employee who's on compassionate leave, it's not a disaplinary issue? Imagine the bad PR if even we could/did!

,We are losing the younger supporters ask your self why,the match day experience is awful then we got to watch the football. YES RAGBAG We've been steadily losing youth over a number of years - matchday experience, board, cr@p football, pastygate, Santa's grotto apart. With the exception of Stoke, we must be the only city where two established league clubs are so far apart, so competition is......well we can't compete, simples. We are the underdog, but ragbag is not accurate as there have been improvements under the Wael tenure ship that drags us away from that adjective. Ask any away fan what they feel about the stadium experience and they'll say we're still ragbag, surely it wouldn't take much to install decent toilets? What the hell was this Christmas' Santa's Grotto about it was even worse than the last one, and that was some achievement.

Topper you are a clown of the highest order! Did you go in Southmead for a routine op and come out without your GSOH? I know you had a GSOH as it said so in the ad I saw in the lonely hearts. Was errr... looking for a friend.

If they do kill our club we will resurrect it somewhere else... WE are Bristol Rovers not them ! Anyone know if a phoenix club would be able to use the name Bristol Rovers? I always thought that a name change was compulsory.

Look at their reaction when people don’t come to the games- Starnes let slip that Garner was an appointment to get crowd but bees back up and may have been planned in advance. Now, you could argue that the stay away fans caused the current mess because of the board’s desire to win them back etc etc but that’s an argument for another thread- I’m just trying to make the point that the way to make the board listen is to take your money away at the turnstile. That’s the only leverage we have and according to Starnes it’s leverage that dictates board policy.

Rather than protest I favour positive actions, such as setting up a savings fund for Supporters which could have been a significant amount by now if it had been implemented a few years back when I first suggested a variant of. If we should face extinction surely it would be better for Supporters to be in a position to intervene and try to save the Club. If Wael is serious about his love for BRFC he should convince his family to take the hit in our favour which could then be a starting point for the future which would include Wael. This seems unlikely at this point in time but if we had a fund, Wael might be interested in exploring a way forward.

I propose some sort of group where fans can pay a little money and maybe elect one person to represent them to the owners in an open and honest way.
That person could then communicate back to those fans.
A sort of club for supporters, if you will.
What do others think?

Let’s back Wael like Sheep, he’s such a nice man who’s gone silent for two years. You don’t have to back them either. Screaming from the rooftops for the board to leave, with no actual fit & proper successors lined up to step in, is total lunacy. it's not our responsibility for put new owners in charge but it is our responsibility to voice our concerns and try to improve the future if this club!!!
