A reliable source. Bit of a surprising one. Also looking at JCH

I'd imagine they've told Lockyer he got out at the right time and a good word has been put in to some of his colleagues at Charlton.

Well if they're watching JCH they won't be very impressed atm.

I'd imagine they've told Lockyer he got out at the right time and a good word has been put in to some of his colleagues at Charlton. I imagine the conversation went something like: CAFC: Locks, we're not sure about OC. He looks good to us but there's a hardcore Gashead contingent who complain about absolutely everything he does. Locks: Don't worry about it, there was a hardcore Gashead contingent who complained about absolutely everything I did, too. CAFC: Sign him up!

OC is not good enough for league one so they can have him. We get one good game in 5 from Ollie so they are welcome to him. He loves this club but he is just so inconsistent, so no big loss he he moves on. He would be much better in league 2

I’ll drive him there myself if we get a good price for him. I like Ollie, he’s one of our own, but let’s be honest he’s a bang average league one footballer.

He has been awful for two seasons at least. L2 at best ... please take him Charlton and to be honest JCH can join him.

Quite simply, will not happen. If it did, Ollie would find himself back into this league quicker than his old friend Matty Taylor. With the greatest of respect, OC is nowhere near a good enough CM for the championship level.

Careful what you wish for, Ollie goes on transfer deadline day (even for a fee), Ogogo has a long-term injury and who is going to "put a tackle in" as midfields run through us for the rest of the season ?

If he played in the Championship he would spend more time suspended than playing games. The faster pace of the game would find him out big time.

Anything around the 750k mark and I would see it as a good deal to get rid tbh

If you cant see what OC brings to our midfield, then you don't know much about football at L1 level.
Exactly the same as those who were happy for Lockyer to leave!
Wow!

Personally I wouldn't want o lose any player I'd have in my current starting 11.
Our midfield have been completely overrun since we lost Clarke and Ogogo.
Is he perfect? No, far from it but he's probably the best of what we have for that position.
Upson, painfully slow. Ogogo, a great battler but not a great footballer. Offers very little going forward. Sercombe, good footballer but can't tackle and often goes missing.
Clarke isn't quick but he's much quicker than Upson. Maybe doesn't cover quite as much ground as Ogogo but certainly not afraid of a tackle. Doesn't have quite the attacking threat of Sercombe but usually chips in with a few goals.
He's the best allrounder we have so personally, I'd be sorry to lose him and have little confidence we manage to replace him with better.

If Charlton come in for OC I wish him absolutely nothing but the very very best, a proper bloke who’s gas as f**k.
Turned up at the charity game this year, stood in the Q with everyone else, had a match worn shirt for the raffle and paid his fiver to get in. Top man Who would be missed around the club.

Miss a few games and people think you're better than you actually are because the rest of the team has been so poor! He is an average L1 player at best. He is a jack of all trades, master of none type player. And as for his passing...! That being said we need some more bite in the middle so I am glad he is back. Would much rather have Ogogo in the first 11 though.

When we were winning every week but wishing to play better football, I wouldn't have been too sad to see him go. Now we're getting dicked every week, it feels like we really need him!

Longest serving player.Remember him playing well for us at Telford.Wouldn't blame him for trying elsewhere as we are shambolic in every respect.Attracting a replacement or indeed any player won't be easy when they see our dreadful ground and training set up. Ollie is limited but so are Leahy,Nichols,Victor,Bennett and Reilly.
