The OP makes a good point. Not everyone is narrow minded and floating sports fans may elect to see this derby. Narrow minded? If you or any other gasheads want to line Lansdown's pockets then that's up to them but it goes completely against what our role is at Rovers, supporting our club. By supporting Bristol Rugby, you are indirectly supporting Bristol City.

So now gasheads can’t support Rugby, basketball or watch any bands who play at Ashton gate ? All a bit silly to me

There are other places you can do those things, so why choose to go there?

I will never step foot in that stadium unless Rovers are playing, and that includes concerts so you can imagine my distress at not being able to see the Spice Girls there recently. Gutted I was..
As others have said you are helping Lansdown (and therefore City) by paying money to visit the place.

To me it’s about supporting BRFC through thick and thin and watching my team as often as life permits. I do find all the don’t do this because of who owns this more childish than hardcore

Just checking what the hardcore rules are

That is something I can't have on my conscious personally. I don't like Rugby and I didn't watch Bristol Rugby at the Mem, so maybe its easier for me? But I am logically minded, and that is a logical decision not to go.

Can’t really do much about putting money in their pocket when all Rovers can manage is a a one man band in the bar. I would watch it at a stadium owned by Rovers if I could.

I see that the rugby club have a local derby against Gloucester tomorrow at 3pm. I assume all their Saturday fixtures will clash with our home games. Do you think this has been having an effect on our attendances as well as the other issues ? I know plenty of our supporters also support the rugby club and given our state at the moment maybe they’re opting for Trashton. What rugby club? Nearly 18,000 at the Sh*tpit today and we get 6,500. Draw your own conclusions.

Nearly 18,000 at the Sh*tpit today and we get 6,500. Draw your own conclusions. A quick comparison of our last two home games gives a more accurate conclusion. Doncaster attendance 6834 with 351 Donny fans. Fleetwood attendance 6469 with 89 Fishermen. I think it's safe to say the rugby made no difference whatsoever.

You’re obviously not a true gas head😂😂 Oh hang on I’ve got tickets to the same concert. Like you I would prefer to go elsewhere but I cannot. The other gigs are too far away to be practical. It’s not ideal but life rarely is. I felt guilty but the tickets were a Christmas present so what can you do? I’m properly excited about seeing them.
