Last January 2019 we were doomed at 23rd in the division and destined for relegation !. However: we signed J.C.H and he single - handed saved us from relegation. The strikers last year can only be described as ' not good enough' and you would have though the board would have learnt ?
Yet again we have signed sub standard strikers which compared to our non league attackers are a joke. Players like Taylor Easter Harrison playing the like of Gatshead were much much better than the pass year. How can the board or whoever get it wrong for so long with strikers ?. This season we are over-reliant on J.C.H and his goals have basically stopped us from the drop yet again!. That's two season's one player have kept us up ( hopefully).
I don't normally say it but i feel sorry for J.C.H. He must feel dis-spirited ; tired and confused. We are a 'one man band' up front . The board have had 1 year to sign an average division one striker . Can it be that hard ??
22 GOALS IN 38 GAMES....

Yeah, your injured but must play, have no support from team mates or officials ( how many times was his shirt and arms held right in front of the linesman.
Plus he is now treated as a target man being marked by a giant and at least one other.
Plus his pen was OK. With VAR of officials who know the rules, it had to be re-taken. Eight in the area and a keeper 4ft of his line.

Needs a strike partner and without doubt in my mind JCH is at his best alongside Nichols. It’s no coincidence that we’re not creating anything let alone scoring since we stopped the JCH- Nichols partnership. Playing JCH up in his own beggars belief, Garner has said that he’s watched every game this season so how come he can’t see that JCH is crying out for a strike partner that he can combine with ??!!! We look like a team with no idea what the plan is let alone how to go about it. It wasn’t all bad today though our keeper looks very assured and it was great to see Davies come back - clean sheet and Ogogo too. UTG

One thing that stands out to me is that his body language has looked terrible recently. Makes me wonder if he was expecting a move at the start of the window that hasn't happened because he hasn't looked the same since then.

Makes me wonder if he was expecting a move at the start of the window that hasn't happened because he hasn't looked the same since then. To me it looks like he is playing nowhere near full fitness. He was much quicker than that last season and his game had far more aggression. He needs a big strong striker along side of him. We still need a creative ball carrying midfielder as well as we have to many runners and cloggers.

Funny our last goals from open play were at Ipswich, and Coughlin was in charge. I personally think Green should have kept the same players and tactics until the end of the season. Making changes now, and trying new formations and tippy tappy football isn't going to work mid season. Think we can already put this season down as lower mid table.

JCH needs to stay on his feet. Bloke of his size doesn't half get knocked over easily.

JCH doesn’t care about us and we shouldn’t get attached and sentimental about him.
Okay, yes he may care whilst he’s here but when a bigger club comes along he will jump ship like 99% of the others have in the past.
He came here because our contract offer was one that would “set him up for life”.

I don't know maybe he's missing Cocko's bollockings, but He's off his game - doesn't keep the ball, shooting is wild and too many touches.

Not sure fans of any team who bought him would be impressed if they sign a striker who hasn't scored for months from open play? Garner said we've had no offers for players, assuming he's being truthful I can't see clubs coming in this late offering £1m+ for a L1 striker. I can't understand wny JCH didn't hammer his pen into one of the corners then the goalie has to guess right and also pull off a decent save to stop it.

The aim is to make as much money in their short careers as they can.

Was just wondering what JCH is suffering from ? is it Match fitness ? pretty sure he has featured in our last six or so games how many more does he need to get match fit ? Or is he carrying a niggling injury that won't go away ? Whichever i don't think he helped himself today by kicking out at their player for his booking and also kicking the goal post so hard i thought the crossbar was going to fall off, i know he was frustrated by his penalty miss and lack of service etc but sometimes you have to try to channel it in a more positive way because he could of injured himself further, also i feel sorry for all of our other so called strikers as none of them get any decent service or support from rest of the team UTG !

It’s under a Garners nose and he can’t see it.

Going back to the original title. Do I feel sorry for JCH? Absolutely not!
He's employed to score goals. Yesterday he failed to score from a penalty which would have given us another 2 points. Sorry, but I can't remember the last time he scored a goal.
His whole demeanour for the last 6 weeks or so is that of a player who no longer wants to be at Rovers. It's the fans who I feel sorry for!
