Simples, why sell the land for a developer to make millions , on saturday was looking at the size of it, a block of 6 houses with 4 terraced and 2 semis on the end would sell easily for 1.4 million a block, add some low level blocks of flats and we could have a stadium with no debt, purpose built on south Glos land. We could go to Bath for a couple of seasons, otherwise think we might end up like Cov if we rent the FM. What does everyone think?

You reckon that block of flats is worth 31 million?

I think this is another thread that will shortly be up to 50 pages of nonsense spouted by the same old posters posting the same old posts

If we sell the land like B'ham City just did for £25m we'd then still have to buy land elsewhere for similar money plus find similar money to build the stadium? How can we ever be debt free? Plus how could we cope now at Twerton? As far as Cov when would developers spend £m's building us a stadium only to then put us out of business as I doubt the likes of Wasps could be a success in Bristol when they would have to compete with Bristol Rugby

As stated, Dwane Sports now own the ground.
I personally believe that as the ground was initially left for locals to play rugby in memory of those that died in WW1, whatever happens, a pitch should be incorporated into any redevelopment.

Because there's very little left in the coffers after the family have recovered their investments. Apart from that, I agree with you. It would be worth a fortune as flats, and might pay for a modest but expandable stadium out of town. Sadly that ship has now sailed.

Where are the readily available plots of south glos land that aren't too far away from Bristol but have clear transport routes and the freehold can be purchased?
This is harder to find than you might think and is partly the reason why we've squandered decades just trying.

I think we should grow Advocados at the Mem site. They're going up in price apparently! Money to be made.
