I just want to make my stance clear, I think Garner is a long-term project who will succeed in the long-term, but I hear much divide on this forum about Garner. Let's assume we lose our next 3 games against Wycombe, Tranmere and Blackpool. What would your stance be?

What evidence is there that BG will turn things around, or fulfil a strategic vision? He's never been a manager. He can't say, 'This is how I work', or 'When I managed **** it took us X years to get things right' We were within a whisker of second place and the club goes and appoints a rookie manager. Second half performances show that he lacks the ability to motivate or tactically change things around. All I can see is a downward spiral.

Coppell as assistant would be a great shout.
He’ll make for a great caretaker until the end of the season when the experiment ends.

Even if it's a short term role, until the end of the season. It did seem a risk at the time to bring a young coach in to manage a club without a director of football type older figure to mentor him. Especially as there’s very little leadership at the top. I’ve always liked Steve Coppell and think he could be to Garner what Lennie was to Trolls.

This has to be the most ridiculous thread ever posted
We need to support him and make sure we stay in this division,
By End of March beginning of April hopefully we will see what he has achieved and carrying on building for 20/21
Get behind him and not with a knife

Second half performances show that he lacks the ability to motivate or tactically change things around. All I can see is a downward spiral. Disagree. 2nd half performances show the players are not fit enough for his style of football. Nothing to do with a lack of ability to motivate. Makes no difference if he is a rookie manager, he was a coach beforehand and therefore has enough experience and man management skills to push players.
On the Twentyman show after the game on Saturday, Ollie Clarke was interviewed and he said BG's style is a different way to what the squad is use to and require more fitness as we are now chasing down the ball much higher up the pitch. It will take a few weeks to gain this required extra fitness, especially for the new recruits and players who have returned from injury. So you will see improvements but will take time. Ollie also pointed out what I have said in other threads, BG has not yet had a full week on the training ground to work on his idea's as its been weekend and midweek games since his arrival or BG was away on leave from the club. This week will be his first full week.
Some people just don't want to give the guy a chance. Yes we were close to being 2nd but that doesn't mean we have a God given right to stay there. Most new managers want to do things their own way, bring in their own people and players. It all takes time obviously. Not sure why people cant see this.
It's been a tough start for BG on and off the pitch. New signings look very promising and players returning back from injury. Things will get better. Patience is required.

Fully agree... We may not have the results but GC's results were built on sand.
