At least it’s good to hear we won’t be losing as much this season.
I know it’s frustrating now, but I think if we stick with Garner, let him mould and develop his style, next 2 windows bring in players that suit his style and we’ll start playing well that the supporters will come back. Hopefully progress off the pitch is made at the same time and we can really start to look forward to the future.

Think this nothing interview was an attempt to stem the flow of criticism and awful results, lack of goals and general malaise the club is in.Not much to excite, invigorate or persuade me to do my 240 mile round trip to home games. We all wanted an update.Well there we have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Season ends in two months and we don't even have our rented training venue sorted for next season.
'As a prospective player can I see where you train and your wet weather complex?' 'We actually don't have anywhere to train yet but we are looking into going to Redcatch Park'. 'Would love to sign for you then!'.

Fair play for the club arranging this and (finally) getting it out there to us. We ask for better communication, and things like this are clearly a step in the right direction.
The big issues that we all want to know about obviously are not at a stage where there's anything worth saying. Like it or lump it that is the way it is, but I'm still bitterly disappointed about the UWE collapse. I know it's long gone now, but we surely had a golden opportunity there, and I wish we fans could have some insight into the reasons why that opportunity was thrown away. The simple fact is that I along with many other Gasheads, simply do not trust the Al Qadis anymore. The whole Colony announcement then silence debacle, and the apparent lack of due diligence on their part regarding the financial maintenance of this club, just do not promote a feeling of trust. Whether that can be mended I don't know, but I think the only way it could be is if we actually see some GENUINE progress made on the large scale infrastructure. Yes it's time consuming and difficult to achieve, but they need to deliver it and soon otherwise our club really will be walking on ever thinning ice.

I still don't understand why on stadiums and training grounds they cant say whether the project is still alive, dead, mothballed or what ever.... We hear about the plans and then never actually get updated on what the situation is....
I'd rather hear that things haven't worked out about projects than hear nothing....

That was a depressing listen.
Just confirms that there's nothing happening and we're lumbered with the status quo, both on and off the field, for the foreseeable.
At least it makes my decision about season ticket renewal straightforward.

I lost trust in the Al Qadis on Aug 3rd 2017 when UWE collapsed and Wael was too cowardly to front up and talk to the fans, sending an exasperated Hamer out instead to talk about the new Crazy Gang. I now doubt that the Al Qadis ever had the wherewithal to deliver UWE and the reason it collapsed was simply because they didn’t have the ability or the funds to deliver it. If only they’d said that when they took over, the current state of play would be more acceptable.

Waiting a month for a Q and A that says f**k all about the important issues is a step in the right direction?? Fair play to you mate, I wish I still had your optimism.

Pretty depressing. So they buy land for a training facility but now looking at options for other sites? Good investment and decision to buy the original plot then. Definitely no news on a stadium, we have years to wait - or not at all.

We don’t know where we are training next season, yet we own land to build a training ground. Absolutely no mention of the fruit market, yet Wael was giving a three year timescale last August. Do they think we forget what they said in their last interview. Sounds like we hanging on by the skin of our teeth.

So a Q&A without any actual answers ? What a waste of time , what annoys me is that he doesn’t seem overly interested or bothered about anything , in fact I think he comes across as quite flippant, don’t know why I bothered to watch that, same sh** different day

Yeah they'll stick with Garner for two seasons even if it gets us relegated back to the national league. Mugs. Sooner the ownership and club management changes the better.

As motivational speeches go, that was sh!t. He looked like he'd just been dragged in from the garden to reluctantly answer some difficult questions he didn't want to answer.
As honest speeches go, it was better. Nothing is happening, no plans are in place, and the owners have nothing to tell us.
At least we have had our worst fears confirmed.
So what happens now?

Sorry, that was pathetic! That’s just confirmed my decision, to not buy a season ticket I think supporters would have more respect if they actually did a live Q and A. At least you would feel engaged and part of the process and they could give more detailed answers and fans could get across their concerns. I guess the main question I would ask now is can the owners guarantee the Memorial Stadium will not be sold unless we have a brand new ground to go to.

If they are still trying to identify a site, I would say the Fruit Market has been sh1tcanned. Probably due to the purchase price. Eventually they will have to make the Mem work. Could be another 5 years before they realise that, and start the regeneration process. This was very obvious two months ago, a combination of price and the ALQ’s realising they were being had over on the sale of the current ground.

The only thing we heard about the fruit market site was Waels interview before the Blackpool game which indicated full steam ahead. Nothing since, so where has your information come from?
