More than 350 parents and players from Downley Dynamos FC will join the friends and family of Oliver Darlington at Adams Park on Saturday to pay their respects to the young Wanderers fan who passed away last month. Oli lost his battle with sepsis early in January at the age of only 13, having been an avid Chairboys fan and popular Dynamos starlet for a number of years. The club have invited his immediate family to watch the game against Bristol Rovers from two executive boxes, while all proceeds from the ticket sales from the large Dynamos group will be donated back to Downley to assist with renovations to their changing room facilities, in Oli's memory. Parents from the team will also be collecting donations from supporters before the match towards a memorial bench, which is planned to be installed on the Pedestal playing fields in West Wycombe where Downley train and play. And all supporters are asked to join in with a minute's applause in the 11th minute - Oli's shirt number at Downley - as a mark of respect.
Writing in his programme notes for the game, Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth said: "I’m so sorry that tragically we lost another member of the Wycombe family just after New Year. Oliver Darlington was a keen footballer and one of our proud young fans here, and my heart goes out to his family and friends, who I know are with us in great numbers. "I can only admire your strength at this tough time and I know Oliver’s family want to raise the awareness of this terrible condition, a truly amazing thing to do, thinking of others, in light of what has happened." Oh my god that is utterly horrific. Stuff like this makes me feel sick, how awful.
I won't be there unfortunately but I trust those travelling will really get behind this.
How awful.

How sad, that was a life. Football is only a game. And like most true fans gasheads always step up to the mark. UTG!

I am sure the Rovers fans that travel will contribute to the tribute. Always impressed with the number of away fans that join in with similar ones at the Mem. RIP young man. Such a tragedy.
