I think we should close the supporters club, and have some sort of membership scheme run by the club where they can offer discounts on merchandise; food and stuff, they can also have a travel service. The supporters club has become a thing of the past and dare I say a few of them do it for themselves?

If the travel service for away games is priced like the new service on trial we will probably be paying several tines more than the current prices for away travelcharged by the supporters club

I think their is certainly value in having an supporters club which is independent of the football club. Like others, I'm not sure the current BRSC is suitable for that role going forwards.

Not having a SC does not resolve what happens to the 7% shareholding of the SC share scheme in the FC for which there should be two Directors on the FC board to represent this stake. Trouble is the SC Director (KM) is technically still a Director but obvs currently suspended, and has in recent times done little or nothing to communicate to the SC members what he is up to. He tends to talk about the community work (which he has worked tirelessly on) but forgets that this has nothing to do with his role on the FC board. SC committee now has a massive responsibility to explain to the members why it is spending money on lawyers to defend KM. Lawyers fees are the only winner.

I would have thought the reason for having a supporters representative on the board is so we can hold the board to account for their actions. Even if that is not happening or is not being allowed to happen surely it is important to have some fans representative. Communication is woeful as it is without making it a complete closed shop.

Retaining supporters representation at Board level is a must. It would be criminal to do away with it.

I and many fans have had more communication with Tom Gorringe in 2 years then Ken in 14. I am not saying there is no value in the SC director and its obvious Ken talks to some people, but its 2020 and you have to do more than wander round the bars chatting to fans and attending a few SC meetings How do we contact Ken? As for holding he board to account, wernt some ITKers saying there were no board meetings/Ken was hardly involved or am I imagining readinf that?

People keep referring to “the owners” without acknowledging that the Supporters Club are part of “the owners”. I’m not sure if this a 7% or 8% stake as both have been mentioned recently. Either way it does mean that under the previous regime BRSC was granted 2 seats on the board. However, even then a problem arose as they were told by the other directors (and I believe it is written into the agreement) that they cannot discuss board business outside of the boardroom. Seriously?! Apparently so and that means they cannot even discuss it with the rest of the BRSC. Crazy or what?!!! As a onetime subscriber to the share scheme that enabled BRSC to obtain the shares I thought we would be getting a say on the board but due to the above was not able to find out if we (the supporters or even BRSC) did get a say or not! This was all prior to the Al Qadi’s arrival Then there was the hardly mentioned input of a chunk of money (maybe £1/2m?) from BRSC selling and leasing back their Kingswood shop to help keep the club going. Again, before the Al Qadi input (and maybe that was an increase from 7 to 8%?). On the reduction in numbers actually on the board with the arrival of the Al Qadi led Dwane Sports there apparently was a request to BRSC to not have 2 representatives and limit themselves to 1 - that 1 being Ken Masters as I think the other post was vacant in any event. Nobody actually seemed to have wanted the vacant post? I do remember the first person ever appointed was Jane Brown (Browne) and that she resigned following abuse from “fans” that couldn’t (wouldn’t) understand that she couldn’t tell them anything when being asked about Mr Higgs. I think this secrecy, carried over from the previous regime, has led to the current situation, maybe exacerbated by the current regime trying to “enforce” control ? The last (from maybe) is speculation but I believe everything up to there is fact. I didn’t like the previous regime much, after the Dunfords and thought the Al Qadi arrival was a godsend. It was - it saved us from imminent collapse - the club has benefitted in being more professional in many ways - but has become even less transparent. Tom Gorringe is very approachable and has even phoned me to ask my opinion. He knows my name when I see him. Ken Masters is harder to track down. I know who he is but he won’t have a clue who I am. Nevertheless I respect him at least as much as Tom for what he has done for BRFC. Ken is not paid. He has even put his own money into the Community Trust as well as his time. He has given time to BRSC and been elected as their (fans) representative to the BRFC Board. What he has done there we don’t seem to be able to find out and neither BRSC nor BRFC seems inclined to tell us. As others have said sad, childish and unproductive. Maybe Ken Masters has done something wrong but it seems out of character that he would do anything not in the best interest of BRFC. Why won’t they tell us what he is accused of? It seems to me that the fault may be with the perpetrator originally but the situation now lies with the board in not saying what it is he is accused of (as he cannot tell us without breaking the terms of his appointment I.e. silence!). Even though part owners BRSC seem to be locked into an agreement that stops them divulging anything from the board. Is that what Ken has done wrong perhaps- divulged something? Please will somebody come clean and clear this nonsense up? We all (everyone in any way connected with our club) look like idiots and continuing to live up to our Ragbag Rovers title.

Reading through this is enough to boil ones water....
Not trying to be 'too' objectionable because I'm in no way delicate, but do the people involved in this realise just how offensive it is to cash paying supporters.... After the wonga loan, we established a set up where we accumulated a growing debt, you and I still paid to watch what we always have done, a simple sport called football....
But its all falling apart at the top and costing even more money.... * sake....

why don't the supporters club put forward someone else rather than Ken Masters. After finding out what he did I am surprised he isn't banned from games

B) what you were told by someone ITK? C) completely made up? Many here don't think he does a good job or he looks after no 1 too much, but I don't think anyone thinks he has actually done anything to cause any hurt to the club.
