So who has caught your eye and who do you feel has not made the grade so far out of the new signings?
I really like Trottman, Mansell and Sinclair
Dissapointed with the quality of Martin, Leadbitter, Taylor and Cunnington.
On the fence with Gosling and White. Balanta may play one day and Della Verde will be quality i believe !!!
In all the defensive and central midield recruitment has been excellent and the attacking side of our recruitment remains strangely sub standard.
Any views ?

MOST IMPRESSED: Trotman, Sinclair, Mansell, Gosling, Taylor SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE: Martin, Cunnington, Della Verde, Monkhouse, Puddy LEAST IMPRESSED: Leadbitter, White, Balanta
I have to put Balanta in the least impressive signings category at the moment as it seems he was unfit when he joined and has been injured ever since.
I would say Clarke has done okay with his recruitment, no more and no less.
We're still 2 or 3 players short, he seems to realise that and is actively looking to strengthen. The quality of those signings could decide our fate. They need to be better than what we've already got.

In defence of Martin and Cunnington, they both had a big impact when they first came here. Just a shame they have both gone off the boil.

Trottman has become a very important part of the team.
Leadbitter has potential but I think he'd make a better attacking player as he doesnt look great in defence.
Mansell and Sinclair I'm happy with in the middle and think they work well together.
Gosling looks very good at time but none existent most of the time, I think needs to play on the left.
Other then a few goals I've been very disappointed with Monkhouse, I expected so much more from him.
Taylor doesn't score goals so know matter how well he plays I'd drop him, can't make an opinion on White really.
I hope Martin and Cunnington go back to there clubs in January.

Forgot about Monkhouse, disagreed with his signing because of his age and contract length. Looks ok but not playing enough

I created a long post but decided to delete it as I don't want to be too critical, especially when I don't see everything DC sees. We are in a good position and higher than I thought we would be so who am I to judge?
It's pretty fair to say that for me Trotman is the main signing that stands head and shoulder above the rest by a long way.

Hugo, never be afraid to say what you see, just because some people would give you grief it doesn't mean its not valid. Failing that write it again and pm me it as your views are always a good read.

I like Sinclair,Mansell and Trotman.
I would play Taylor either out wide or in the hole. Leadbitter is not a full back, but i think he would make a decent right winger if he was given a decent run of games. And play Gosling on the left side only, there is no logical reason why DC play's him on the wrong side. ( show's up his inexperience).
Monkhouse should be played upfront only,he is completely wasted out wide. Puddy looks good for a second choice keeper at this level.
Martin, White & Cunnington, not good enough.

Out of 13 signings Trotman, Mansell & Sinclair are OK the other 10 average at best, from last season the regulars are still Mildenhall, Lockyer, Brown, Parkes, McChrystal at present, Clark, Brunt & Harrison, which is a worry as that means DC has brought in 10 players who now appear inferior to what was a relegation squad last term.
DC really needs to recruit a couple of good players in January plus hope D-V & Balatana delivery or we may have somebody else signing players come the summer.

Really impressed with Sinclair and trottman- our best two players so far not just best new players. Cunnington woulld score plenty if we had wingers but we haven't got any so he's been pretty much redundant but he has tried his best in a style of play that doesn't suit him. The rest have been ok.

Taylor and Gosling have done exactly what my ECFC & FGR mates said they would do! They weren't good enough at their clubs and haven't bee good enough for us!
Sinclair, Trotman and Mansell ok to date.
Not sure about Monkhouse - bit laid back perhaps? Taking it easy?
White - has to be given a chance!!! or released ASAP!!!

Lots more misses then hits i think for DC
To be honest though a rookie manager having to operate without a scout is a pathetic scenario

A team of non-league standard players, that's why their here.
They are part of a team sitting 5th at present after a rough start, can't really knock any of them to be honest, if they continue this way we'll make the play-offs, can't really complain at that, i would have bit yer hand off for that 3 months ago.

I like to think that most of them could survive in League Two. Am I naive?
