Does this show money doesn't always talk? Brexit to blame IMO. Assuming 5th place will get into CL instead (currently Sheff Utd).

Does this show money doesn't always talk? It does with our corrupt FA. For the same offence they relegated Swindon 2 divisions but gave Tottenham only a 12 points deduction.

Not going to shed a single tear over this. A plastic club that only rose to prominence because their owners had some money, like our neighbours south of the river in a way.

Dont care for them, but ate Man City any worse than PSG, Real, Juve etc... . Was thinking the same. They seem to punish English teams, yet other countries get away with similar offences.

A plastic club is one that’s supported by millions of feckless glory hunting parasites that haven’t got the bolllox to support a club for any reason other than glamour and glory.. That’s certainly not Man City who unlike their neighbours are utterly reliant on the fans they have from Manchester to fill their stadium.

Man city made a statement saying.
The case was initiated by UEFA. Prosecuted by UEFA. And judged by UEFA.
That cannot be right in my view whatever anyone thinks about man city.

Yeah to be fair to Man City fans they used to get 30 odd thousand fans in the third tier. They were always their bigger neighbours underdog with very loyal fans who stuck with their club through thick and thin. Not like the sh** at all.

I really disagree with this statement about Man City being plastic. I hear it a lot, but why exactly? People say it's because they don't sell out every game, have to give cheap tickets away etc. But surely that means they're not plastic because their attendances didn't suddenly double? And yet most of the time, the one calling them plastic is some twat who supports Man Utd but has never been to a game. Who cares if they bought their way to the top? At least they disrupted the top 4 and stopped them from just running the league and doing whatever they wanted.

The decision will be overturned on appeal once Man City wheel out their expensive big gun legal team.

This will go to the Court of Sports Arbitration or whatever they call it if Man City appeal it, which they will. A compromise will be agreed which results in a suspended sentence I expect. I expect the Man City lawyers will be the best in the world who could argue that black was white if needed. I doubt it will happen but it will make a few headlines in the next week or so. UTG!
ps. Great minds think alike aghast.😉

Should be in the general sports section as Division One isn’t football anymore.

The ones from Manchester who have been supporting them for 20/30 years or more, they’re not plastic. The ones from Wiltshire, who’ve only attended one game in the last 5 years and who support them from the comfort of their armchair each weekend however... Manchester City used to be a proper club at Maine Road but they’ve lost that in the last 10 years or so. I honestly wouldn’t want the same happening to Rovers, no matter how many wins we would accrue each weekend.

Just a thought... So what if Man City win it this year? It will seem a bit silly for the defending champions not to be given the chance to retain their title.
