I wouldn't dig deep in the current climate I'm afraid. I've kept my business intact by having enough in the bank to survive for 6 months with no future business. Football is a ridiculous business built on sand!
If I was asked to buy a seat in a new stadium, you'd get a different answer!

Iโm not sure I would contribute unless I could see tangible change on the horizon if I did.
ยฃ1,000 to see BG football? No chance.

Been watching Rovers longer than most in fact since Sept 1955 at Eastville v Forest which we won 4-1.Ended up in Staffordshire with the RAF and still here at 74.Every opening match of the season I look around and wonder what changes I might witness in 12 months time.Every August other than a new tent perhaps the answer sadly is always the same.Massive part of my long life despite our lack of ambition and progress and accepting that we perhaps have the worst of any of the 92 stadiums other than Macclesfield.Promised training ground exactly the same.Sometimes I despair but I still love my team.Could I cope without Rovers? Hope I never have to find out but when I look around and see ;Telford,Kidderminster,Shrewsbury,Burton,Nantwich etc all near me improving their set ups big time on much smaller crowds,I often wonder if my blind faith can go on forever but suspect it probably will.

If the rovers wasn't there I would be absolutely devastated, the club and the gas family were there for me n wend when the bottom fell out of our world and to be honest it would probably finish us off, as it would be just so feckin painful, damn I'm getting depressed just thinking about it

Good for you Staffs, I hope we all get to see it before the short day.

I paid into the share scheme from the beginning and only stopped last year. I also have ordinary and preference shares. So I have paid a lot over the years. I donโt think I would pay anymore now unless there was a clear articulated and costed plan taking us forward.

It used to be my only interest, then I grew up. It ranks about 3rd now, possibly 4th.

Not missing the Gas as much as I expected but would contribute to a new share issue provided the Al Qadi family converted their loans into shares as well. No way would I just donate or buy shares at a different price to those issued to the family.
No idea what the future holds for the Gas but I'm sure things won't be the same. At the end of the day there are bigger things to worry about at present.

In all reality, football will always rank second or third compared to real life. But, if I had opportunity and resources to keep the club going for the community and for the fans then I will always do my best to assist that. I support a few teams for various reason: Liverpool are my first love (saw them live for my first game) and my football philosophy. FC St Pauli are my politics and my personal philosophy. And then Rovers? They're my family. It's the team my Dad supports. It's my home. My friends and family all come from Bristol. I'll never want to see this club die. So if I can help, I will. You never turn your back on family, even if they can annoy the sh** out of you sometimes ๐ ๐ ๐

Do I miss football? well at the moment it still feels like the "closed Season" to me,miss it on Saturday afternoons for a week or so,then get used to it. Of course football/Rovers are not the be all and end all, there are much more important things in like. Even so,I cannot wait until we can all once again get down to the Mem. UTG

UTG Certainly agree with the first point; I guess as time goes by, with every day currently being virtually the same, it will only be when this new world kicks in, and clubs start folding, will we really know what football means to us & particularly what kind of shape Rovers are in. With players contracting CV19 and some understandingly saying they are frightened to play, I would be surprised if the EFL will be up and running this side of quarter 4. Doh.

Iโd do it, proving it guaranteed the survival of the club So would I. I would hope that the City Council would chip in as well. Rovers is a Bristol institution with a 130+ year history. Rovers was - things have changed in the last three to four years
