In the dialogue surrounding the return of competitive matches at League One level, the costs associated with the return to play, including the purchase of the relevant COVID-19 testing kits and PPE, would have totalled at least £500,000. Love to know where they spun this figure from, flys against anything dreamt up by the EFL or Chumpionship teams. Just about every other estimate is £160,000 to £200,000 Not what I've seen, most clubs were quoting overal costs of 500£k. The 150£k was just for testing.

Am I dreaming?? Such positive replies I think I've spent too long on general chat 😊 great response from club and fans and it looks like we have future too 😁 Refund or not to refund, that is the question. The season ended with 5 home matches still to be played. When you purchase a season ticket it is reduced from match day prices equivalent to 5 free matches. Therefore season ticket holders have not paid any more than fans paying on the day! I have renewed my season ticket for next season prior to all the recent "good news" always the optimist! It's inevitable in the current climate that some will need the money refunded, others will say its a point of principle. No naming or shaming either way please. It's your team support it any way you can UTG

It just goes to show that a bit of transparency in communiques with the fan base goes a long way towards engendering trust, positivity and averts the hysteria that so often occurs in a communication vacuum. Well done MS and let’s hope that this sets the benchmark for future announcements.

Fans said this about Higgs and he came out with a regular update that bored the fans so much they started complaining about it.

The Football Club like any other commercial business has a duty to repay monies which were paid in respect of a service which they will not now be given. In recognition of the fact that some 'customers' will wish for the Club to retain the monies, I would suggest that that money could be invested in an interest-earning account with a view to retaining that money for use in some way in a new stadium (not the training ground) along the lines of the 'buy a brick' initiative or something similar which I am sure the more inventive of our supporters could think of? Simply just leaving it in the Football Club coffers will mean that it will just disappear whereas the gesture should be recognised for all to see for many years ahead.

There's an option to donate it to the academy.
