A good start for getting its act together would be apologising to our owner and the chairman who backed the nag who was Masters to step aside.

In the end, I wrote a personal letter to Wael after discussions with the Mods about the complexities of drafting something from all of us. This is what I sent and now I will put my tin hat on
Dear Wael,
I am writing this personally to thank you for your recent letter.
However, before I do that, I would firstly like to express my sincere condolences following the recent death of your father and I would like to pass my regards to your entire family during what must be a very difficult time. Your father had also become a member of the extended “Gashead family” in his own right and his loss is felt across the entire membership of that extended family. I have also been asked to pass on the condolences of a number of other Gasheads, when they knew that I was writing to you.
The main purpose of this letter is to thank you for setting out the recent developments within the Club and the plans that you have for the future. It is also to thank you for the huge commitment that you have shown to the future of the Club.
I have been a supporter of the Club for more years than I would care to remember. I am also a season ticket holder and would like to thank you for the offer to refund any money for the games lost in the 2019/20 season. I am in the lucky position where I am able to elect to donate this back to the Academy but I am also aware of number of fellow Gasheads for whom that refund will make a difference in these difficult times.
I am also a member of the Fans Forum. As you may be aware, the Fans Forum is an independent social media outlet where fellow Gasheads can meet online to express their views on any issues relating to the Club that we all love so much. Whilst we may have our moans from time to time when things are not going as well as they might, we are all long term supporters of Bristol Rovers Football Club and all have the same aspirations for its success as you do. Naturally, your letter was discussed at length on the Fans Forum and another reason for this letter is to express the overwhelming level of support that came out of those discussions. I truly hope that you can accept these plaudits with the sincerity that are now being given. Again thank you for your commitment.
This is an extremely difficult time for all of us individually. But we have also all had our very real concerns of the effects that the Covid-19 pandemic could have on football in general and that it could even threaten the continued existence of the Football Club itself. Your letter has given us all hope that we will make it through the pandemic and maybe that we will come out of it stronger than we went in.
I have noted that, as a result of the shareholding owned by the Bristol Rovers Supporters Club (BRSC), there is an entitlement for them to nominate a Director to the Board of the Club, provided that they are a suitable candidate, acceptable to the Board. Although I do not know the full details, I am also aware of, and concerned by, the schism that seems to have arisen between the Club and BRSC over recent months, particularly as some of this has been conducted in the public arena.
BRSC has played a significant role in the history of the Club and I know that a significant number of volunteers make their time available to help the Club throughout the season, especially on matchdays. I am saddened by this recent rift. Football Clubs are strangely unique organisations and, in my opinion, rely on the close cooperation of the owners, the staff and the supporters to build any degree of success. We all share exactly the same objectives.
I also believe that the supporters of the Club have a part to play in its future success, especially during this crucial period for our Club. A material element of the stated plans will require us to build on the current fanbase and obviously the current supporters have a role to play in that.
I have taken some of your statements as an “Olive Branch” to BRSC in an attempt to heal that rift and I believe that this is an important step going forward. I understand that it is not solely within your scope and I also intend to make my views known to the BRSC committee that I feel it is important that the Club and its supporters work together, constructively, towards the common goal and feel strongly that the restoration of a Supporters Club representative on the Board will help achieve that aim. If I can help achieve that in any way, I will.
Finally, I would again like to thank you for your commitment to the Club and for sharing your plans with us.
With kind regards
Slam

We should have a club membership scheme, run professionally with discounts on tickets, food, and away travel. The more you put in the more you get out. I left the SC the year we played Barnsley away in the FA Cup. Never going back

Never been back to that sh*te hole again.. Truly, truly awful place Our two experiences couldn't be more different, apart from the journey up and result. The journey was horrific, first got stuck in traffic which meant we were going to be touch and go to make the kick off, which also meant no time to stop for a break. As I was the youngest of our group I had the 'pleasure' of sitting in the middle of the back seat for the ride up. Horrific! When we finally got to Barnsley the locals I met couldn't have been friendlier. First someone directed us to somewhere close to oakwell that was free to park and several other fans also shook our hands and wished us well for the rest of the season and journey home. Seemed a friendly bunch to me.

Weird.

Bristol Rovers Supporters Club,
I have spent a lot of time thinking this through and have decided that I feel strongly enough about some of the issues that we have discussed on this forum to join the BRSC and to apply for the following positions at the forthcoming AGM:
1 Executive Committee Member, and 2 BRSC Nominee for the Board of BRFC
If any of you on this forum, who are also members of BRSC, feel that you could either act as proposers or seconders to either of these positions, please would you PM Me. I understand that this might have come out of the blue but if any of you would want to question me on this, please either PM me or simply ask in open forum. I am happy to talk to anyone, by private phone call or n PM or in open forum.
