The number of players we've been linked with in the last few days.. Chislett, Grant, Ehmer and Baldwin, its clear BG is looking at revolution not evolution (ah-Haa).. I can see him trying to move on players who don't fit his mould this pre season if he can. I reckon they will include Davies, Little, Upson, Rodman and Bennett, if he can find clubs to take them off our hands for nothing.. Might be that they get loaned out first in a 'try before you buy' scenario (Hopefully, if they can afford his wages, Swindon might take bennett off our hands) Being linked with players and actually getting them to sign on the dotted line are two different things.

🤣🤣🤣 Got to love a land rover defender... 2020 vehicle with 1950s technology!!! Yeah real shame they stopped making them, the reincarnation is an abhorration.

Surely the club can negotiate something to get him off the books. I can see at least two current CB's leaving if this Post article is true - there again it is the Post.

Have you forgotten already you posted this earlier? "Let's not get ahead of ourselves though and wait until we actually sign them first!!!" I'm not confident of the BP getting anything right given that they were convinced no work was starting on the training ground even the day before the club confirmed it was starting.

Would be 2 very good signings particularly Ehmer and would certainly go a long way to replacing the experience of Craig. I'd agree it might mean one of the other centre backs moving on, given that Harries only joined in Jan & Meyenase signed a new contract think it's more than likely to be Davies who goes. If it happens a very decent start to our recruitment

Let’s hope there is some fact to this ... Given the BEP get most of their content from forums and rumour sites.
Ehmer and Grant would be terrific signings ... Ehmer slotted straight in to lead the side ... Wow!
Not sure about Baldwin ... he was excellent at Peterborough but didn’t work out for him at Sunderland. Then again plenty of good players have shared that fate.

Can see Ehmer as being a good signing, not sure with Baldwin but expect us to be linked with plenty, getting them over the line is another thing.

Two good signings if we can get them over the line. Plus Josh Grant, things could be looking very promising already for next season!

What I meant topps, was that if we are being linked with players, then it's possible, if not probable, that we're making enquiries into them.. If that is the case, then it's clear to me that BG isn't satisfied with the squad he's got (not to completion anyway) and that if he's looking to add, then some dead wood in our squad has to go to make way, so I listed the players I considered to be dead wood.

I share your lack of optimism re the BP and that horrendous Bristol live link they have where, If you've ever made the mistake of trying to upload one of their videos, you'd be waiting for about 15 minutes for the thing to play. Complete and utter amateurish rubbush

These would be good signings. But we don't need 6 centre backs. If these 2 guys come in somebody has to go.

Davies and kilgour were outstanding under coughlan so would prefer them both to stay as long as davies is fit. Baldwin has been unable to cut the mustard in league one albeit with peterbro and sunderland so why is he suddenly going to be good enough at rovers?

Put yourself in Bennett's position. His current contract with Rovers will be the last big one in his career. He won't go anywhere unless his current conditions remain the same. The only way he will leave is if Rovers and his new club jointly contribute to satisfy his current contract. On the positive side, we've only him for another year.

Baldwin played 100 games for Peterborough and was named captain, so it hardly sounds like he was a flop, the move to Sunderland sounds like a step up, not down, but Sunderland do seem a graveyard for decent players. Although unless Wael was inherited a fortune it seems unlikely we're going to sign P'boro and Gills ex captain's as they must both want decent L1 contracts?

If these two experienced guys sign for us it indicates a couple of defenders are leaving. Maybe we have been offered good money for AK and perhaps RM will go out on loan.
