My issue with modern football is how clubs run at a loss and run up huge debts. I’ve no problem with money from outside the U.K. coming in and think Man City’s owners and Abramowich have been great for English football. If there is huge TV demand for premier league football its only right that the majority of it goes to the players.
All the moaning from the established elite is just through fear of being ousted from the top table. It’s why there is always talk of breakaway euro leagues and increased champions league places. These elite clubs hate the idea of PSG, City and Chelsea leapfrogging them and are constantly looking to get fifa to take action.

FFP is sh*t anyway. If you're club is lucky enough to have super rich owners, then you should be able to spend that money. It's like winning the lottery but then being told you cant spend your millions. FFP was only set up by the Real Madrids, Barcelona's, Juventus, Man Utd's etc to ever stop other clubs being able to join the table. The only issue I have with Man City and PSG is that they are basically owned by countries. I strongly disagree with this. Its how we have all got into the sh**ty situation that the lower leagues are in. So the team with the most money gets an advantage? I was hoping that the Covid-19 would allow society to rethink football. However we have just gone back to the old ways. :-( I disagree. The sh**ty situation that the lower leagues are in, is because clubs spend money they haven't really got, and it bites them in the arse. The teams with the most money have always had the advantage, whether it was Aston Villa or Preston in the 1880s and 1890's, to Forest in the late 70's breaking World transfer records on strikers and Goalkeepers, to Liverpool and Everton being bankrolled by the Football pools, to Blackburn in the early to mid 90's under Jack Walker, Chelsea under Abramovich and now Man City. You can add clubs like Fulham and Wigan under Al Fayed and Dave Whelan respectively going from the bottom tier to the top tier through both their fortunes. It's always happened. I have no problem with clubs having rich owners and spending cash.
