Yes that’s fair enough, but I just can’t see Wycombe spending any money can you? I think we would be more inclined to give it a go than what Wycombe will? It’s probably just the jealousy kicking in! We had the opportunity to give it a go in January, we instead decided to no bother. Yep, can’t argue with that Chewy.

Fair play to Wycombe, they were certainly 'the' team first half of season. They did fall away and it is debatable and imho doubtful they would have made the play offs. However life is all about grabbing the opportunities when presented with them and Wycombe , given the chance grabbed there's with both hands, Ainsworth is to be congratulated for getting the absolute maximum from limited resources and putting together a 'team', with limited individual ability but as a unit, a bloody nightmare to play against! Gives all the little guys hope and proves you don't need 'super' stadiums, star players and the like to 'make' it, mind you that young fellow Afenfenwa is certainly a star and one of my all time favourite football characters , the bloke oozes enjoyment and fun and must be great to have around the club., doubtful there rise is sustainable but enjoy the ride boys. As for Oxford, the form team prior lock down and prob would have made automatic but they had there chance and blew it. Matt Taylor proved once again that he would not make my list of top Rovers Strikers and he would not be my pick to score that vital goal in any match , i have seen him miss to many 'sitters' despite his record with us, his record masks an inability to handle pressure in vital games though his ability to find space and be in the right place is not to be doubted. The game also highlights the dilemma many Gas eds find themselves in , IE, do we want to be an Oxford, look good, outplay the opposition, but ultimately come up short, or Wycombe, unloved, boring to watch , but winners? Me ,i will take the Oxford model as long as we have a Richard Walker to 'finish' off the opposition! Over to you Ben and best of luck! up the Rovers! For all their fancy football they never looked like scoring, apart from the one good save Wycombe's goalie made, even the goal was a fluke. Although I can't understand why Robinson plays Taylor upfront on his own, particularly after Wycombe went 2-1 up with 10 mins to go.

Wouldn’t people say the same about us if we got promoted. It all depends on budgets given to attract championship quality players - if Wycombe provide this whose to say they won’t cope like Burton did for a long time Yes that’s fair enough, but I just can’t see Wycombe spending any money can you? I think we would be more inclined to give it a go than what Wycombe will? It’s probably just the jealousy kicking in! At least wycombe will get a chance to fail in the championship, which is more than we have had for 27 years.

Out of the 4 semi finalists, would have preferred to see Pompey up, especially for Browner & Ellis. And Pompey have bigger support.
