Our bench could be the strongest it’s ever been! We had periods during the 1999/00 season where we had Ellington, Zamora and Astafjevs on the bench, superb hyperbole though.

That's a big statement. Can I ask based on what? I think our signings have been solid and good but I don't see the depth apart from at CB Bold statement for sure. Our signings have been encouraging but let’s not get carried away. They’re good textbook signings but they cannot be judged until at least half a season in. Many were saying in January we’d had our strongest window ever but from my point of view they didn’t cover themselves in glory. The loan signings did well but the permanent signings hardly got a game in. I made sure I added that ‘could’ for good reason so didn’t sound too definitive. But so far I’ve been very impressed, I believe our centre backs are very well covered now, and fullbacks with Little and Kelly covering Hare and Leahy. Luca Hoole can also cover whilst learning. Forwards are almost sorted, Effective difference in strength and skill for JCH, Ayunga and Daly, with either Phillips or Hulbert breaking through. Wingers are almost there. Nicholson, Rodman, Barrett. if we could get JML back/failing that another winger to come in. Zain Walker also breaking through and Bennett could be called upon. I hope now we can bring in a creative creative CM Who can string this all this together. But even then Grant, Upson ogogo and Hargreaves can all do a job there, with Tomlinson also covering. Obviously I know we don’t know how this is all going to play out, but on paper alone, we are starting to look really strong all over the park, something I can’t really think we’ve had for the best part of 10 years. I still think we may need another 2-3, one in CM, a winger and possible another forward. But really if this was the squad for next season I’d be very happy for it to compete 50-60 games.

I think it's great that we're again taking a punt on good non League talent before they become too established then we are priced out of the market.

Welcome Jonah a big strong unit, need a replacement for sercs now unless Barrett can step up and be that player, JML on loan would be good, him and Nicholson firing in the crosses for the two big J strike force would be awesome.

We asked for someone that has a goal scoring record, they have delivered! Squad taking brilliant shape now, and it’s being done early, so far in league one the best business has been done by us, how many times have we been able to say that!
To anyone that says the goals were scored only in the national league, please take a look at the premier league top goal scorer, Jamie vardy, I’m not saying he will turn out as good, but goals at any level is a great sign. Let’s hope he will kick on with us.

This is the sort of signing Posh would normally make! (and make successful)

A son of Dorset, who is a Kenyan International with his bobsleigh career to fall back on. Maybe a first for us

Happy with that. Good squad depth happening. We even paid a fee for him too. Our bench could be the strongest it’s ever been! Our CM options are Ogogo, Upson, Grant, and Hargreaves. Until we bring in some quality creative players there, I have to disagree atm.

IMHO the only postions we look strong in terms of quality AND numbers are GK, right back and centre back. Still need another goalscorer, a winger or two, a creative midfielder, an all round central midfielder and preferably a left back who can defend. Lots of work still to do.

Difficult to sign a proven goalscorer / target man who is happy to be backup to JCH. I think Ayunga is a gamble worth taking. He's still young, certainly has the physique to cause defences problems and scored a good number of goals in National League South. As cover for JCH and an impact sub I think he could do well and should only get better. Yes very true. We've signed a few players on loan or permanently from Prem/Champ clubs but it's also worth a punt to sign a young free scoring player from the lower leagues to see what he can do. I'm sure it's not been an expensive move by the club either.

Big Chap for sure - with some supportive coaching he could just turn out to be an aspired signing. Well Done All.... If he scores early in his career with us confidence will soar. Good Luck Lad !! How tall ?
