to be honest I didn't realise there was a friendly going on with the u23. I know a lot of Town fans and they all really rated Bennett and would be delighted for him to return (especially since Keshi, Doyle and Yates gone). Would it be that bad if you signed him?! Tbf, he was quite good for us during his loan - scored a few, set up a few. Not sure he’d do the same in L1, though. Woolery and Isgrove are both better, IMO, although I think only 1 of them will sign a new contract.

He signed in January 2018 when Bodin left for Preston and I remember thinking he looked a good replacement considering he was a free transfer. He played very well, assisted and scored a number of goals in the final 4 months of that season. Unfortunately, since then he hasn't been the same player. He certainly wasn't a Coughlan type player which is why he immediately loaned him out to you.
There is a decent player in there somewhere but he's past the point of no return at Rovers. It would be best for everyone if he found himself another club. He could probably do a job for you and I wouldn't put it past hime scoring against us this season if you did sign him. I would advise against a 3.5 year contract though because he seems happier to rot in the reserves and than take a pay cut to play regular football.

Bennett would have to be a screw loose to walk away from £4.5K p.w. in the present climate, the blame's all down to DC/SH for giving him such a ridiculous contract not KB's. Not sure why we don't just play him or buy up his contract as I can't see him leaving anytime soon.

If he's happy to see it out in the reserves who is going to offer him a deal next summer when he'll be approaching 31 and barely played a competitive fixture in 3 years.
I guess it depends on the length of contracts being offered and just how much of a paycut he'd have to take.

He will try to sit it out and then retire. He isn't the type to drop down the leagues to play for the enjoyment of the game and self fulfilment. If he was he would have been chasing loan deals all the time in a hope to move on. It appears it's just a job to him , an easy way to make the sort of money he would unlikely earn in another job market. Everyone is different and has to get through life their own way.

Having a u23 section to the main site with constant updates. Show highlights of games and some player interviews (all part of a players training, they will need to know how to present themselves in the media )

We kick off at 7.00 CT. They kick off at 7.30 VT. (Where CT is carnivore time and VT is vegetarian time).
