As I said in my OP I know very little about betting. If at the start of the season gas odds are say 20 to 1 to get promoted, if we get off to a flyer the odds would change? How can you fix the odds at what they were when you placed the initial bet? They’re always fixed at the price when you placed the bet. So if you bet at 20-1 beginning of the season and we’re right up there with 6 games to go you still get 20 x whatever you bet, plus your stake back no matter what the odds change too. Thanks for the info

Thanks for the info Just to confuse you even more you can also be the bookie on 'exchange' sites like Betfair. So if you get and bet odds of 20/1 to be Champions and we have a good start and our odds reduce to 10/1 we can go to Betfair and bet we won't be Champions for 10/1. By calculating a certain stake we are then in a position that whatever happens we will make a profit and we can't lose.

Cash out only offered under certain circumstances? A lot of sites do not allow bets to not get something unless it is relegation ie bets allowed only at top and bottom of tables and in favour of a team not against? But I don’t know much! Got a bet on snooker @ 200-1 e/w final place and it is now available at 40-1!. No cash out being offered so offset by betting in favour of opponent? UTG

UTG Well you can only cash out with the firm you've bet with or you can lay the bet on Betfair. By using this calculator below you can work out your lay bet stake to make the same profit whatever happens. Don't forget when you lay you are open to a liability which you have to have in your account before your lay bet is accepted. However this will be more than covered if the back bet wins.If the back bet loses, the lay bet wins 😉 backlaybettingcalculator.com/mobile.php

There's not a specific time. Usually they're ready straight after the season finishes for the following season. I wonder if they are holding back this season as it is hard to price up as so many teams affected differently by the virus. I remember getting a price for us in L2 on the day we beat Grimsby in conference final. Thanks . I thought they were usually out by now . With us investing at a time when most clubs look likely to be cutting cloth, we could be a canny bet . I’m expecting us to be 16/1 ( if we keep JCH and make another quality signing) Without the last few months I’d of put us at 40-50/1 Apparently we’re 16/1 with bet 365. God I’m good 😉

Give him a yellow card; he's a bookie? Well done; spot on. Worth putting £6.66 on this?

About a year ago I put a tenner on a 15 result accy and won £7500... VAR awarded a crucial goal in 86th minute.
In Feb, I got 16/18. Bloody last minute pen for a draw and a defeat... That would have landed me £15k... Oh well may as well only got 1 right

I’d push us out to 25/1 and have posh sold Toney yet ? If they keep him and add JCH they have to be favs ....6/1?

We’re now 20s and 13/2, so have drifted slightly.
