Certainly a committed player who did well for us at Div 2 level. Legend? No. I can never quite forgive him for ruining the match at Bury when he was sent off for 2 dives in 15 minutes. Busted a gut to get to the match only to be let down by SS and then lose 3-0. Nice bloke though.

Don't think I'd call him a legend, but he's certainly one of my favorite and will be remembered by many Rovers fans who helped us get back to where we are when we needed it the most. His pure passion and determination to run through brick walls for us made us love him. Also did a lot for the local community and still does. I agree with a lot of your points, but to say you can never quite forgive him for that, I think says more about you than it does about him. Is it not a bit sad to hold something so trivial against someone years later?

Bring him back in an ambassador role when he hangs up the boots. The fans love him.

Probably more reflects the effort it took me to get to the match by kickoff time only to see the match effectively thrown away before half time. Trivial maybe to regular attenders, but I had lived abroad a lot so this was my 'big day out' at the time (yeah Bury away on a Tuesday night!), so a little annoying of SS to say the least.

Is it not a bit sad to hold something so trivial against someone years later? Indeed. I was there and it was a run of the mill league match. Hardly a play off final or a game with promotion riding on it. The two bookings were ridiculously harsh. Sinclair went to ground & didn’t claim for anything, one was on the touch line near half way & the other near the corner flag. Wether he was clipped is always hard to tell, certainly looked like fouls from the away end. The referee on the night was a total buffoon & as I came to find out en route home, also from a town merely 10 miles from gigg lane.

Definitely a legend. Played a big part in our revival , two promotions, and gave everything every game. Perhaps not in the top 10 Gas legends but in a book of 50 he’d definitely have a place in my book.

Stu put his heart and soul into his football while he was with us, if all the players we got now put the amount of effort he put in we could possibly be the championship this time next year. I didn't mind seeing the back of Nichols ,James and some of the other more technically gifted players who have left, but the only time I want to see the back of Sinclair is in a Rovers shirt with his name on it.

He’s just so humble, and appreciative of the life he’s earned. The dressing room can only be a better place with him there. The minute his boots get hung up I’d have him back as fitness coach given his PT background. Will show the young lads how lucky they are to be part of the set up and not entitled.
