I could imagine some League 2 and conference teams being interested yes. Imagine really is the word. Never been a big fan of Nichols but it doesn't surprise me that a league two team would look at his record of scoring 15 goals in a single league two season for Exeter and being top scorer for Peterborough in the league above and take a punt on him. Given the right environment and service, Nichols could score a lot more goals in that league than he did for us.

It's getting near deadline day, someone will panic sign anything. Several clubs? Not a chance. I can't believe his choice was anything much more than take it or leave it. Particularly given it's a one year deal signed late on and the fact he was on trial for Swindon about two weeks ago.

Eliot Richards back in pro football, he’s just joined Barnet. Really pleasing to see him rebuild his career after surviving cancer in 2015 and taking a break from the game. Links up with his former manager and former Gas favourite Peter Beadle.
